A Farewell to Perth!

Today we packed up our cases and headed out to the airport to fly east across Australia and out to Cairns, as a staging post for the next stage of our trip, to the Great Barrier Reef and Lizard Island. We have absolutely loved Western Australia in general and Perth specifically. The weather, the people and the lifestyle here are all so nice; we keep saying “...if we were 30 years younger we could live here” .

We have spent our final few days on various local beaches and keep finding spots even nicer than the ones from the day before. We also visited the park in front of our hotel to see the most photographed kangaroos in Perth! They just happen to be made of bronze!
