We did some more walks in this area and spent most of the day exploring the coastline.
Beautiful spot and quite remote so minimum human impact and it shows.

Just outside of Port Augusta is an arid inland native garden. Quite similar to the Cranbourne Native Garden although different desert based species.

This lookout was on the way to Whyalla and the arid native garden.
Although the photos are not that clear you can see the foothills and beginning of the Flinders Rangers named after the explorer.

Port Augusta is predominantly a mineral producing town which sits relatively near the base of the Flinders Ranges.

This was another magnificent walk that led to a secluded beach that was perfect for a quick dip.
The walk followed a stream that ran down onto the beach and flowed into the sea.
