Momorangi

We had a really smooth ferry crossing on Saturday, and having a cabin to ourselves made for a good trip. When we arrived in Picton it was really windy.

We spent 3 nights at Momorangi DOC camp, on the waterfront. It was a bit crowded for our liking but a nice place to stay with a great view. Sunday was windy and cold so we just went for a short walk and didn't do much else.

Monday was fine so we rode 9km on the Link Pathway to Anakiwa. From there we rode the Queen Charlotte track for about another 13km, nearly to Mistletoe Bay. It was an awesome ride, a great track although challenging at times where it was narrow and rocky. I fell off once. When we got back to Anakiwa we were thrilled to see the coffee caravan open, so we had an ice cream and a hot chocolate each to get us back to Momorangi.Read more
