The Lakes
6. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ☁️ 16 °C
Above Covodonga there are two glacial lakes. Entry is now restricted and by ticket and bus ......with zero tolerance of dogs so I went on my own. Up in the clouds at the top of the world so snapsWeiterlesen
Cider
6. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C
One of the attractions of this part of Spain is the cider......it is not drunk the way one would expect from vast flagons of falling over water...... instead the brew itself is unfiltered and full ofWeiterlesen
Somiedo
8. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C
So a terrifying tow of the caravan through the canyon to get here . Lots of hairpins and nobody (including me) seemed to be able to stay on their side of the road. Lots of 'Oh Fuck' braking. ThisWeiterlesen
Bears!
9. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C
As we came into Cantabria we started to see rather surprising road signs warning of bears! 'Surely Not' we thought but it really does seem that these hills have the largest population of spanishWeiterlesen
Estoy en Babia

Bayona

One of the most beautiful towns in Spain in our opinion but sadly crowded with tourists in the summer. We chose to go up to the moorland above the town where there are wild horses and spectacularWeiterlesen
A Guarda
14. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C
A Guarda and the (not very easy) entrance to the Minho are south of Bayona and on the border with Portugal. Lots of fishing here so we had a very good lunch of razor clams and prawns.
Tui
16. Juli in Spanien ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C
This city is old....and old here doesn't mean Romans but bronze age and the Castro people. I didn't think the cathedral looked old at all but I was wrong with the first buildings being in 700 AD. TuiWeiterlesen
