A Guarda and the (not very easy) entrance to the Minho are south of Bayona and on the border with Portugal. Lots of fishing here so we had a very good lunch of razor clams and prawns.

This city is old....and old here doesn't mean Romans but bronze age and the Castro people. I didn't think the cathedral looked old at all but I was wrong with the first buildings being in 700 AD. TuiBaca lagi

Well this is an interesting place. It is the border fortress opposite Badajoz and a huge 'star fortress' with a 6 km long aqueduct which at some points stands 40m high with four tiers of arches. ItBaca lagi
PengembaraI imagined that the aquaduct was Roman as most are in Iberia- but I was wrong. Turns out that it was built in 1498! A mazing bit of engineering and shows the determination needed to get a good supply of water!.
