    • Upon landing at Yerevan International Airport at 8 am, we were greeted by a bright, sunny day and a wave of heat that hinted at the scorching temperatures ahead.

    • The airport, modern and bustling, buzzed with activity as travelers hurriedly made their way through the terminals.

    •The warm air outside enveloped us as we stepped onto the tarmac, carrying with it the promise of a hot day in the vibrant city of Yerevan.

    Republic Square (City Center)

    The city center of Yerevan, particularly Republic Square, is a vibrant hub of activity and a focal point of the city's culture and history.

    At its center stands the majestic singing fountains, which come to life in the evening with a dazzling display of lights and music, drawing visitors and locals alike to enjoy the spectacle.

    Saint Gregory Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and serves as the spiritual center for Armenians worldwide.
    โœ“ The exterior of the cathedral is characterized by its stunning white stone facade, adorned with intricate carvings and decorative elements that reflect traditional Armenian architectural styles. The cathedral's dome towers over the city skyline, making it a prominent landmark in Yerevan.
    โœ“ Inside, the cathedral is adorned with beautiful frescoes, ornate carvings, and intricate artwork that tell the story of Armenia's rich Christian heritage. The altar is the focal point of the cathedral, adorned with religious icons and candles that create a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

    Lovers' Park

    The park is characterized by its lush greenery, beautifully landscaped gardens, and meandering pathways, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a romantic picnic. Benches and seating areas are scattered throughout the park, providing peaceful spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

    One of the park's highlights is its picturesque lake, which is home to a variety of bird species and adds to the park's tranquil ambiance.
    Visitors can rent paddle boats to explore the lake or simply sit by the water's edge and take in the serene views.

    Lovers' Park is also known for its romantic atmosphere, especially in the evenings when the park is lit up with soft lighting, creating a magical ambiance.

    Admiral Ivan Isakov Statue

    Admiral Ivan Isakov Statue stands about 50 meters north of the American Embassy along the six-lane Admiral Isakov Avenue, also bearing his name.
    The statue is quite impressive, standing on a raised hill and looming at least 10 meters over an intersection. The area is well-kept and at some times of the year is adorned with flowers. When standing at the statue,
    you'll have a good view of the American Embassy, Yerevanyan Lake, Hrazdan River, and Mt Ararat (on a clear day).
    Unfortunately Admiral Isakov Ave is a
    very busy road and this detracts from the setting. There is parking space under the bridge of the nearby new Monte Melkonian Ave. and then you can walk to the statue.
    Admiral Isakov was a Soviet-Armenian
    military commander and held the rank of Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union.

    The Cascade is not just a stairway; it's also an open-air museum and cultural center. As you ascend the steps, you'll encounter a series of terraces, fountains, and sculptures, including works by prominent artists such as Fernando Botero and Lynn Chadwick. These artworks add a dynamic and artistic element to the journey, making the climb a fascinating experience.

    At the top of the Cascade, you'll find the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, which houses a diverse collection of modern art, including paintings, sculptures, and installations.
    The center's exhibitions change regularly, so there's always something new to discover.

    Whether you're interested in art, architecture, or simply want to enjoy panoramic views of the city, the Cascade complex is a must-visit destination in Yerevan.

    Mother Armenia monument is a statue depicts a woman in traditional Armenian dress, holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, representing the defense and protection of the homeland. At the base of the monument, there are plaques commemorating the heroism and sacrifices of Armenian soldiers throughout history.

    Temple Of Garni

    Khor Virap

    • The main attraction of Khor Virap is the deep pit prison, or "virap" in Armenian, where Saint Gregory was imprisoned for 13 years before miraculously healing King Tiridates III of Armenia.
    This event led to the king's conversion to Christianity and the subsequent adoption of Christianity as the state religion of Armenia.
