Cactus Last day 😔

Our time at Cactus has come to an end, it was hard pulling Brett away.
Brett said even the car didn’t want to leave, as the car battery died twice in the time we were packing up and then the Czytaj więcej

We were headed out of Streaky Bay when we notice a noise coming from the car 😣. We hadn’t even made it to the water tap!

Baird Bay

We finally made it !
Car is kind of fixed for now.
Boat is off, stunning sunset and I think Dad is getting his first fishing lesson 😂.

Mum and Dad meet the Sea Lions of Baird

Today, we got to take mum and dad to one of our favourite places in Australia, Baird Bay. To do one of our favourite activities, swim with the sea lions.

Third times a charm

When leaving Baird Bay, one must always stop in and visit this wonder of the world. Murphy’s Haystacks.
Even on the third visit they were still captivating.

First early start we have had in a while!

Hello NSW

Dipped our toes back in NSW for an hour this morning, after not being in our home state for 15 months.
It was rainy and miserable, so we got out as quick as we could 😂😂.

Coober Pedy

We pulled into Coober Pedy and it was bucketing down, so no exploring for us today. The red dirt quickly turned into red mud, that made a thick slick layer on your shoes if you had to leave the van Czytaj więcej
We have started our journey North

We have moved away from the beaches we have been near for so long and are heading up the middle towards NT.

Kangaroo Cuddles

At ‘school’ Lachlan is learning about wildlife carers, so what better way then to visit one in real life.

Big Things at Coober Pedy

Coober Pedy has it share of big things 🤗.
We got up early and got to the Big Winch for sunrise, but no sunrise for us, to cloudy! But the kids had fun climbing the steel tree.

Kanku - Breakaways Conservation Park

This morning we took a drive out to The Breakaways.
Out here we got to see a range of different scenery, there was escarpments, the Dingo fence which stretches 5300km across three states and then Czytaj więcej
Harry’s Crocodile Nest - Coober Pedy

This was an interesting dugout. It was a tip from a fellow traveller Ken, so we went and checked it out.
The story goes that Harry was a crocodile hunter in the NT and was run out of town with his Czytaj więcej
We crossed into the NT

It’s wet and it is cold, not at all what I was expecting when we hit the NT!
We crossed the border and ate breakfast in the Northern Territory. We then braved the rain and cold for a photo with Czytaj więcej
Bird Feeding At Ayers Rock Camp Ground

We pull into set up and Lachlan spies a lonely bird, he grabs the bread and the next thing I see he is hand feeding a bunch of beautiful galahs.

Raining on the Rock - First Glimpse

Brax was first to spot Uluṟu through the rain and the thick fog and it was magnificent.
Not everyone gets the see it rain on the rock, but we did! There were little waterfalls running down the Czytaj więcej
Uluru Sunrise

Our first sunrise at Uluru, we were all up early and pumped, we get to the gate and there is a line up! I triple checked that the gates opened at 6am, but at 6.20 we were all still sitting in line Czytaj więcej

I think it took me nearly half the walk to warm up on the Valley of the Winds walk, then we hit the look out and experienced the ‘Valley of the Winds’ and it was time to put the jumper back on Czytaj więcej

What a day, up at 6am for sunrise, loop walk at Kata Kajuta and then back to the rock for sunset.
We set up with nibbles and hot drinks, it was perfect with the cars backed in so we could eat and Czytaj więcej

2nd sunrise at Uluru 😍😍

Yes! The gates opened on time today, and what a show we got.
Today we set up in a different spot and it was so relaxing, we backed the cars in so we could make hot drinks, we had chairs and blankets Czytaj więcej
We walked around Uluru

You can’t climb it any more so we had to walk around it.
10km loop walk. What a great way to get up close and see all the different aspects of Uluṟu.

Kings Canyon

We had been told by lots of travellers to go to Kings Canyon, making sure to do the rim walk and taking the Garden of Eden off shoot. So that’s what we did!
