    Brisbane

    March 21, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 30 °C

It was so nice visiting Brisbane again. We stayed at my auntie and uncle’s place with their 4 kids, Jemimah, Fredrick, Matilda and mini in Rosewood. It was so cool seeing all the new buildings and shops that weren’t there when we lived there. We also got to catch up with allot of friends and family’s that we haven’t see in years. The RAAF base in Amberley has really grown and I hope one day when I join the airforce that I get posted there. On the last night that we where there, Dad, Jack, Uncle Sam and I went out for dinner and watched the new John Wick chapter 4 in the eat & drink lounge cinema. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and our time and can’t wait to see Brisbane again.Read more

  • Sunshine coast

    March 19, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

We said our goodbyes to the Carson family and left Brisbane to spend time in the Sunshine Coast and to see some family that we hadn’t seen in a while. The Sunshine Coast was such a beautiful place, it had stubbing beaches, amazing restaurants and the town itself was very clean. My highlight of the Sunshine Coast was when my Dad, Jack and I where walking on the beach at night and then we saw this huge cruise ship dock. It was all lit up and you could see all the workers working as hard as they could to dock the ship efficiently. Overall the Sunshine Coast was an awesome holiday destinations and I can’t wait to revisit again someday!Read more

  • Gold coast

    March 16, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

The Gold Coast was such a fun time and what made it better is that we got to spend with one of Dads old friends Rusty. Every day, Dad, Rusty and I would go to the gym in the morning and then would go to the beach to hit some waves on the body boards. We also went to Pacific Fair which is one of the biggest shopping centres around and got some beautiful gourmet doughnuts and some really delicious Thai food. All of us boys drove off to Surfers Paradise and got to check out some really cool gel blaster stores, got some Starbucks, went bowling in Cavill Mall and had tons of laughs with Rusty. After our fun in surfers paradise, we came back to our hotel and got ready to have a nice dinner on the beach. The Gold Coast was so much fun and it will always have a special spot in my heart because of all the fun we had!Read more

  • Tasmania

    February 4, 2023 in Australia

Tasmania was such an awesome place! To begin with, our ride over there was really cool. We drove our landcruiser on this huge ship called “The Spirit Of Tasmania” and then walked up the stairs and over to our cabin. When we took off and sailed out from the mainland, it was so rough that when Jack and I were in the games room we kept on falling over. When we got over to Tasmania we stayed the night in Devonport then drove off to Launceston. We celebrated my birthday there and went to the Penny Royal Adventures to do a zip line and high ropes course then we did the Cataract Gorge and took a ski lift up the mountain. The next day, we drove off to Bicheno to do the wineglass wilderness cruise. The cruise was a really enjoyable activity to do because we saw dolphins, seals, and a sea eagle beside a 30 year old nest, as well as natural rocky structures that would take your breath away. After that we made our way to Port Arthur to see the convict historic site. I was really fascinated to see what those poor prisoners had to go through and the small cells they had to stay in. Our final stop was Hobart for a few nights. We went to see the Mona museum. I would would never go back there again! I was so disgusted with how sexualised everything was and that there was pictures of beastiality and the vibe was really creepy, it just completely disgusted me. After that we went to the Salamanca markets and I really liked these markets. There were a lot of cool things like, animal skins, vodka and gin, homemade baked goods and if you walked on a bit further you would see all the old sail boats that have sailed around the world. Overall I really enjoyed this place and can’t wait to see how much bigger Tasmania will grow in 10 years time.Read more

  • Glenelg to Geelong

    January 31, 2023 in Australia

On our way over to Tasmania we had to do a bit of a drive from Glenelg to Geelong to get to the ship. we also got to see a lot of cool tourist destinations and towns such as Port Noarlunga, the Great Ocean Road and Warrnambool. The Great Ocean Road was such a breathtaking and spectacular drive! We drove on a day where the conditions weren’t that great but it definitely didn’t take away from the beauty, it just made the ocean a lot more awesome to see when the water was rough. We also found this really nice gin distillery tucked away on the Great Ocean Road that sold some of the nicest pizzas and chips I have ever tasted. When we got to Geelong we where a bit underwhelmed on the area we were staying at, as it was dirty and dark. I definitely wanted to get out of there and get to Tasmania by that stage.Read more

  • Adelaide

    November 21, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 12 °C

Well Adelaide has been quite the adventure for us! First of all, it was really nice catching up with my Dad’s side of the family and his friends. We had a fair few parties with them. We also got to celebrate a few cool things such as, Miami’s 14th birthday at the trampoline park, Christmas Day at my Aunty and Uncle’s place and a combined birthday Mexican night with Casa, Maria, Renae and I. We got to see a lot of Adelaide and a few of my favourite places where, Hahndorf, Adelaide CBD, Mawson Lakes and Tea Tree Gully. I really like these places because they where all so pretty and had a lot of fun and cool things to both see and do. I also got the chance to see my first BBL cricket game with the Adelaide strikers versing the Melbourne Renegades. They started the game off with a big entrance of all the players running out onto the field between the fireworks. Then when they where playing they had a cheerleading team come out and preform for the halftime show. Finally after the game was finished they where handing out a bunch of cool free stuff like merchandise and energy drinks. Overall I realised how much I loved Adelaide and how sad I am to leave this place but hopefully I can come back next year!Read more

  • Esperance

    November 17, 2022 in Australia

Esperance has been a really pretty place! On the first day we got here we went to the brewery that was out of town. The brewery was one of the best brewery’s I have been too. They had all the really big silos that they brew the beer in out the front for everyone to see and they had a really cool front entrance. We also met up with our friends from home here and had a really good time with them. Sadly it had rained for the 3 out of the 5 days we where there for but it didn’t stop us from going for a ride on the electrical scooters. We where absolutely soaked in rain and where laughing our heads off on how goofy we looked in our helmets. Overall this place was an absolute blast and had a really nice family friendly caravan park that I would recommend staying at.Read more

  • Margret river

    November 2, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Margret river was such a spectacular place. It had so much green natural forest land and beautiful ocean land. They had a lot of wineries and breweries that we went to that where so beautiful and well looked after. We also went to a chocolate factory as apart of jacks birthday and they had a lot of mouthwatering chocolate and we ended up buying 3 blocks of Indonesian chocolate. We spent our last few days with these friends that we met that where from Mexico and France. The caravan park that we stayed at had a really cool jumping pillow that we would jump on almost every afternoon. Overall Margaret river was such an awesome spot and will always remember this placeRead more

  • Fremantle

    October 15, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Fremantle was a cool place. It was like Perth but a bit quieter. They had a lot to see like the Fremantle prison and the boating history. The prison was pretty significant, it was in the middle of town and there where caves that where underneath it that you could go in with a tour guide. Unfortunately we couldn’t do it because they where under renovations but we did get to see inside of the prison and the cells and church. We also went to Rottnest island and saw the cute animals called Quokkas. The island was really pretty and had a lighthouse at the top that was built in the 1800s. Overall the place was a cool place to stay at and enjoyed everything it had to offer.Read more

  • Perth

    October 12, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Perth has been the best city we have been to so far. They had amazing buildings and they had the famous Optus stadium. We went to the Perth mint museum and I was truly amazed with the 1 tonne pure gold coin that they had made for Queen Elizabeth in 2011. We also went on a double decker bus tour around the whole city and really got to see how beautiful Perth is. We also celebrated jacks birthday at bounce in Perth and had a lot of fun, especially with the rock climbing wall. I Also had the chance to go to some pretty cool gyms in Perth that had alot of cool equipment. Overall we had an amazing time at Perth and has been a big highlight of my trip.Read more

  • Geraldton

    September 28, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Geraldton was a really cool place and was so good to finally see a city again! We stayed 5 minutes away from the CBD and the caravan park had an awesome jumping pillow that got all the kids out to play that I made some friends for a bit and Mal loved to go over and have a play on the tire. The city had a cool esplanade that had a park and a big slide. The city was also very looked after by the council and had those electric scooters for people to ride. Overall this place was an awesome place to stay at and would really recommend it.Read more

  • Karijini

    August 21, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Karijini was a very beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed doing all the walks around the Gorges and going to the visitor centre but apart from that it was quite boring. There was no power or water and had very strict rules. I’m glad we only stayed there for 3 nights because we basically did everything there was to do in 2 days. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the beauty and to get away from the towns and city’s but would only stay there for a night or two.Read more

  • Point Samson

    August 16, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Point Samson was a really good place to stop for a week! They had the best fish and chips at the pub from across the caravan park. It was a real friendly place and the caravan park was pristine with really nice clean amenities. We would also go into the pub every day to have a pool comp between Dad, Jack and I and would always get destroyed by Dad. Overall it was a lovely place but would’ve love to see a few more shops.Read more

  • Dampier

    August 11, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 22 °C

Dampier was an amazing time that we had there! We stayed there for 3 nights and every night we went fishing and caught a ton of lovely eating fish like tusk fish and whiting. They also had an amazing footy field and park mal absolutely loved the park because there was this really big slide that was made out of concrete that he would climb up and slide down on his belly the caravan park was nice although they need to install more showers and toilets because they was 2 toilets and 1 shower to share with the whole caravans park. Every night the harbour would light up and you would see the big cargo ships either been loaded up or unloading and all of the worker working really hard to keep it all running. Overall I really liked this place and how the council looked after it and would recommend doing a day trip or an overnighterRead more

  • 80 Mile beach

    August 9, 2022, Indian Ocean ⋅ 🌙 23 °C

We stayed in 80 Mile beach for 3 days and had a fun time fishing and walking on the beach. We didn’t seem to catch much though apart from a few baby salmon. There where theses birds here called the spinifex pigeon and is now my favourite bird. The reason why I love it so much is because of the little Mohawk on the top of its head and the little red eyes. On our last night there we had there famous parmi’s. they where all right but a bit on the small side. Overall this place was a nice stop but would’ve love to see some shops and a fuel station.Read more

  • Broome

    August 6, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Broome has been spectacular! Honestly one of the nicest places that I have been to so far. I ticked off camel riding on the beach off my bucket list. It was really awesome riding the camels on the beach during a sunset. Also the fishing was great! I was able to bring home some nice eating bream but what was insane was the tiger sharks and groupers eating the fish as we would reel them in. I hooked onto 1 grouper and a shark while I was there and I can tell you it wasn’t fun. They had left a bruise around my leg from the fish trying to rip the rod out of my hands as I jammed the rod into my leg for better support.Read more

  • Pender Bay

    July 1, 2022, Indian Ocean ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Pender Bay was a fun getaway from the inland. We where right on the beach with the best view and had nothing to worry about. Every morning both Jack and I would get up and go fishing. We were pretty unlucky when it came to fishing but still gave it a good try. We also met up with some of our our friends that were from Mexico and France and had made some mouthwatering tacos for dinner that we shared with them. We did this on top of a cliff while watching the sunset and sitting around a fire. We would also love watching the whales and dolphins play in the water. They would come up so close to the beach! My only complaint about this place was how many rules they had, like no drones, no beach fires, no music etc... Other than that it was a fun time and I would recommend it.Read more

  • Holidays in kununurra

    June 28, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

It has been great coming back to Kununurra for the holidays! We stayed at a mates place for 2 weeks right on the upper Ord river. We had a ball with Anthony Martin’s boat. We also went up to Elquestro with Taminga and her family to go and see the gorge. The best part was we were here for the local show! We got heaps of show bags and had a lot of fun on the rides. My favourite ride though would have to be the “super trooper” because it just spun us around real fast and I knew Dad would of been holding on for dear life. It has been also so good having a gym just down the road. Dad and myself were pretty much there everyday and it also gave us a break from Mal. Overall loved spending some time in the Kimberly region and would definitely love to do it all again.Read more

  • Lake Argyle

    June 23, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Lake Argyle has been the best experience yet! I don’t know where to start. Just the most gorgeous place with the most breathtaking views. What made the experience 100 times better was the fact we had our friend Tony there take us out on the lake with his boat. I miss his jokes and happiness already. I got some of the best drone footage there of the dam wall and the mountains. I was just in my element! The only downside to this place was the prices on the food and drinks. They where just so expensive. I felt so connected to this place. Definitely a must see place!Read more

  • Kununurra

    June 10, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 23 °C

Kununurra was such a great experience! We had so much fun here. Jack and I pretty much fished every day at this place called the pump station. We crossed the Ivanhoe Crossing with a mate of ours called Tony, who we met here, and fished in croc infested waters. Mal also had a great time with his 2nd birthday party that we celebrated at the caravan park. He now had so many diggers to play with but his favourite is his original big tonka truck. We caught up with some old friends call Taminga and the Martins. It was real good catching up with them. Taminga’s brother, Anthony lent us his boat and we had the best time boating up and down the Ord river for a couple of weeks. Mal loved playing trucks with Anthony’s son!Read more

  • Berry springs

    May 27, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

We left Darwin city on Friday and stayed at Berry Springs. I think Jack is now officially addicted to fishing. He was so desperate to go fishing out at the estuary down the road. Typical Jack, he only uses a hook and sinker and will never give any of our new lures a go. At least he doesn’t loose any of our good tackle. On Saturday, we went to the park’s restaurant for tapas, they really make some mouth watering dishes! After that in the afternoon we went fishing and Jack successfully caught a nice size bream and river cod. I think he has a fear of handling fish. On Sunday, we went for another fish and it was pretty crazy. On my first cast with a popper lure, a fish blew up on it. I love the top water action! Later on I caught a bream and then we saw a stingray and a shark. On Monday, I went fishing again and caught myself a 35cm Barra. I love the fight those Barra put on. After that we went gold prospecting and had no success. It wasn’t a fun time because it was just way too hot! On Tuesday, we went to the wildlife park. It was amazing! My favourite part was the aquarium. I loved looking at all the different species of fish and how they interact with each other.Read more

  • Darwin

    May 22, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

It’s been a great experience being in Darwin. The first day we went to see this really cool Darwin plaza and saw a bunch of cool shops. On Saturday we went to the Fanny Bay Gaol, it felt really creepy and weird walking into cells where killers and other criminals had possibly lived. On Sunday, we had the chance to walk through the old World War II oil tunnels. It’s a must see place! Then after that we went to the wave pool and I had a lot of fun sitting on a tube, bouncing on the waves and trying to kick Jack off his tube. On Monday we went to the Darwin Museum which was all about the bombing of Darwin. At the start of it, Jack and I were in tears laughing from Mal, who had a huge scare from the air that swooshed under his legs during a simulated bomb attack. I also had the chance to sit in the pilots seat in an RFDS jet. It was awesome! Not many people can say they have been in the cockpit of a jet!Read more

  • Katherine

    May 15, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

We spent a week in Katherine to begin with and one of the first things we did was go to RAAF base Tindal to go swimming and to check out our old home. When I went to the swimming pool, it had changed a lot. There where these new change rooms that were all done up really nicely and had modern looking showers and toilets.
Also where we stayed, we went fishing every day down at the Katherine river. I never seemed to catch anything but I found about $70 worth of lures.
Finally, one of my favourite parts was the Katherine gorge cruise - it was stunning! There where so many cool rocks and cliffs.

  • George town

    April 24, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Our first stop was George Town. We got there after a 4 hour drive and settle in. We found a really cool basketball court that had a gym upstairs and a tennis court. Every day we would ride our skateboards in the basket ball court and listen to music. We also went to a museum that had cool rocks and gems. Every morning the whole family would go to the gym above the basket ball court and fit in a bit of fitness.Read more
