We arrived early in the morning after a well-earned night’s sleep on the ferry.
We made some furry friends on the car deck and had bananas and cups of tea before officially landing on French soilЧитать далее
After a very sweaty drive we arrived in the Old Port area of La Rochelle and parked the car before venturing to our Airbnb. The walk was along the harbour front and gave a great view of the threeЧитать далее

A much needed rest was followed by a relaxed morning of coffee and croissants from the boulangerie at the end of the street before we set off for a morning of exploring.

We left a sunny La Rochelle after breakfast by the marina and started our journey inland in a much cooler car (some good brain work with frozen water bottles here) to get to our waypoint for the day,Читать далее
After our first evening wandering the vines, we had a late dinner and went off to bed in the very quiet French countryside, enjoying only the sound of the greatly appreciated bedroom fan.
