Passing the dormant volcano in New Mexico, Capulin Volcamo National Monument. Notice the black lava rock in the grass in the second picture.
Just beginning the beautiful trek across Colorado. Beginning to see some mountains and a good bit of greenery.
The clouds atop the mountains is a stunning view to admire. I could stare at them for hours and watch the clouds drag over the mountains.
Colorado springs started having lots of evergreens. Once on the other side of the city, the grass was a lush green and the sky was a rich blue full of puffy white clouds. Mesmerizing.
We are on the other side of Fort Collins now heading for lunch in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As far as the eye can see, there are rolling hills covered in rich green grass. The sky is blue and cloudy.Read more
After a quick lunch, we are back on the road and admiring the scenery. Green hills, distant mountains, rock formations and wildflowers. Plus tons of Pronghorn.

Making progress. About 126 miles until we reach our next state! A lot of open scenery. Just starting to see some more interesting landscape with rocks and cliff edges.
We got to an area with tons of mountainous rock formations of all different colors. The loomed over the road showing off their size. There was even a tunnel that went through some of the rock!
