    National Mall

    June 29, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Time to visit the National Mall. We bought our SmartTrip card and rode the subway to Smithsonian station, then we used the really efficient and cheap DC Circulator to go around the Mall.

The first stop was Jefferson memorial and its amazing architecture. we then decided to walk rather than using the bus so off we went around tidal basin and its great photo opportunities, we then passed by Washington monument and WWII memorial, both amazing places.

After some snacks, namely typical American Hot dogs, we went to the superb Lincoln memorial and reflecting pool. More photos and then we made our way to the Korean world and Martin Luther King memorials. But this time we were exhausted however with some extra strength we went back on the circulator and then to the Capitol.

Extremely tired by now we went back to the hotel for some rest leaving the White house and museums for tomorrow.
