At the Vatican

Today I headed in the morning to the Vatican to visit the Sistine chapel and St Peter's basilica. Ximena did not come, feeling still a bit sicky..

I have booked with City Wonders the express entry so we entered there before it got too busy. The Sistine Chapel was really impressive although a bit smaller than expected. Unfortunately we weren't allow to take pictures.

From the chapel we visited St Peter's basilica , impressive by it's size and ornate.

Lastly I had photos of St Peter's square and then visited the outside of Castle and ponte Sant'Angello just on time before the rain started.

Back to the hotel around 11am, Ximena had just woken up feeling still nit so good so we just spent of the afternoon at the hotel... it was heavily raining outside anyway.Read more
