We spotted this in the distance and went to check it out. It was an Abbey that was destroyed during the French Revolution and then again during WW1. They decided not to rebuild.

Doug climbed back up Vimy Ridge this afternoon from the Canadian side in the area where John Kennedy fought. He checked out some fields for war relics and was able to find shrapnel.

We stopped here for a quick drink as it's scorching hot. They have excavated trenches in their backyard that you can tour. It's part of a system linking the village cellars to the front line.
