    🇨🇭+ dad

    So I was walking down the street in Zug and this man shouted at me from this balcony and so I went to stay with him and his friends.
    Dad came over to Switzerland and some other countries for a month - his first holiday this long in years - and I caught an overnight train from Luz to meet him in Switzerland at Adrian and Wylinn’s.
    They took me out for a few bike rides and yes I did die going up a huge hill that Adrian PARAGLIDES from (which shows how high it is) and stacked it (not while riding , i fell sideways when trying to get off the bike) halfway up at this hut that you can give some coins for fresh apple juice in. We went up for 2 hours and went up 500m . The sun set on the way down though which was so pretty and we could go down so fast and there were horses too so that part was very fun :))    Les mer

    Rhine River and falls

    So we went for a float down the Rhine in some blow up orange boats . We floated for 5 hours . We had a picnic - Wylinn said that it’s no fun if you have no food , so we had a few courses to cover the 5 hours of floating . We went for several swims and took turns rowing , holding onto the back and kicking - which probably was quite counterproductive , and swimming while pulling the boats which were tied together. Then we drove to the waterfall which we would have gone down if we got out of the boats too late . It’s the most voluminous falls in Europe ( I think 😬 ). And wasn’t very tall but was pretty volumptuous .

    Europes Alps longesttt glacier

    Wylinn and Adrian to the longest glacier in the European Alps ! Melting quite fast so very lucky to have seen it . We drove 2 hours and then caught the cable cart up , which was free for me when we bought a family pass because I’m under 19 :))) We had a picnic lunch and then walked up to another look out up to some rocks :)Les mer

    Cat pancakes and Elisa Blu

    Sorry for the no post 🫶🏼
    Here is us back in Rome after I left my dad🥸
    Met scoutyyyy at the train station cuz she was staying close to there and we got the bus !!! Yes the bus the bus me and sara waited for hours and it didn’t come and when it did it dropped us at the bottom of the hill !!! All the way!! Yes yes all the way!!! To Pietro’s house !!! Insane I’m telling you. We met sara there and I hadn’t seen her for agessss so it was very nice 👍🏼

    Elisa Blu bullied us for 2 nights: here is us dressed in our winter outfits as her ‘little darlings’ and then we went out after and had an aperol because oh my we needed one.

    Here is us the next morning when scout slept over making pancakes ! We hugged the evil deva cat and scout said I was holding it wrong “Alex that’s not how you hold a cat” but when she picked it up it got mad so 🤷🏼‍♀️💅
    Then we made the pancakes which we made into cats - we made a competition on my Instagram as you can make a poll where your friends vote for who they like. I went for a whole body (a bit ambitious) but I did win 😇

    Then I gave scouttyyyy a haircut. We then missed the bus to the Vatican (Vati post coming) cuz I had to even her out a bit. Didn’t get time to do the bangs which may actually be a good thing- I have not cut bangs before. Also coming , the fact that I left those hairdressing scissors in my toiletries bag which did not end amazing but could have been worse …    Les mer

    After numerous trips to Rome , I finally made it to the Vatican.
    Here is some pics of it, including a sneaky photo of the Sistine Chapel , in the 2nd and 3rd pic. You are welcome. You not allowed to take photos so here is an exclusive view of it just for uuuu. Then there is some sneaky 0.5s outside in the plazaaaa.
    And finally, because of our clear day of rebelling , we may have put our tootsies in the fountain for a cool down 🤫🫶🏼    Les mer

    Here is us in an Airbnb apartment we stayed in for 2 weeks. We have not had a kitchen to use before that was just ours on this trip so for lunchhh we made pumpkin soup warmed up from a carton and made some garlic on a baguette from the boulangerie 🥖 ooo and I also made mash and it was so good. Delishhh

    We then had big amazing plans to make a roast but after buying the ingredients we made the disappointing discovery that our oven did not work.
    Dad had roast for dinner in Switzerland w Adrian and Wylinn that night and sent us a pic. They had an oven though. We clearly did our best. In case you can’t tell which pic is our roast - it’s the 4th one.
    Then omg omg there were markets that sold strawberries and yum yum yum. They literally tasted fake though. They tasted like the artificial strawberries. We are two punnets. So good. You can see sara enjoying them in this compilation here.
    Thennn we explored some shops and tried on some bourrées which I think were quite sexy. 😇    Les mer

    Nazarè

    Some of the biggest waves in the world have been surfed here. We took a day trip from where we are staying in Péniche - a 40 minute drive.

    Jason took some pics on the selfie stick and sara tried to embrace it and did okay but I could feel a sense of discomfort and embarrassment in the air.

    We then got some slick cashmere scarves for 8€ as seen in the first pic. So soft so warm so sexy 🤓    Les mer

    We went to an island off the coast of Napoli and it was beautifullll.
    We stayed here so Saras dad could do his ocean swim of 3 km around the castle in a open water competition they were running.

    The houses were so pretty decorated with tiles and we swam a lot and dove down to pick up parts of tiles and rocks that had fallen into the oceannnn.    Les mer

    Lake Bohinj

    This is the big beautiful Lake Bohinj! Less popular than lake bled but honestly much more peaceful with less huge hotels and restaurants next to it ! Also less people !!
    Very lovelyyy autumn day and it’s so nice seeing the colours of the leaves changing. I think we spent most of the walk to the bus stop talking about how much we love Slovenia and it’s one of our top 3 countries and we want to come back here hahah.Les mer

    Waterfall Savica

    Ponchos were the fit to see this amazing 78m waterfall next to Lake Bohinj :)))
    This is Matt - an Aussie in our hostel from Canberra who reminded me so much of Mick Dunlop iykyk. So funny - we all had the same humour so spent most of the time laughing.
    This day I hitch hiked for the first time! We caught the bus which was apparently express or something so had to walk the 4km to the other side of the lake (which we didn’t mind but Anja and I did it the day before). And it rained the whole time on and off. So ponchos were going on and off.
    Lunch spot was beautifulllll - we had packed sandwiches next to the lake :)
    Anyway we kept talking about hitching hiking and stories we had herd the whole way across the lake and then walk 2km more to still have to walk 2km to the waterfall base (and it was 20min from there) so after joking about hitchhiking this whole time I turned around and saw two cars and put my thumb out. The first guy stopped who was from Utah and gave us a lift up the hill and we went up to the waterfall with him and then he also gave us a lift all the way back down to the bus stop on the other side of the lake.
    So yes that was very fun and good it worked out. I’m excited for my future hitchhiking endeavours :) but yes this time there were 3 of us including a guy so was quite safe :)    Les mer

    Cambridge

    I got to London on the 25th and met sara at the airport and we went and stayed with Geir and Fiona :))
    My first day there we met scout at Borough markets and got some lunch and ate by south bank which had very appetising chocolate coloured water🫡😍
    Then Didi (Geir and Fi’s daughter who is my age) was doing her Wednesday chapel choir service at her uni in Cambridge and so we went to watch. Really good acoustics because of some tall height and structure of something in the church.
    We wandered round Cambridge before that though and tried a funky flavoured ice cream place and got roasted potato which was quite good , miso and white chocolate which was also good and then milk and brownies too which was a bit basic but all up we did like it.
    We went into a record store and the oldest bookstore in Cambridge.
    Anyway chapel service was a very cool. Finally seeing Didi after 10 years was so nice and we went and had dinner in the big Cambridge dining hall with her and her friends ! She showed us around and her room and we weren’t allowed to walk on most of the grass.    Les mer

    Teddy + British history museum

    Here is Teddy who used to bark and not recognise me when I came in the door but now lies upside down asking for belly rubs when I come to have some brekkie 🥺
    I have been taking her for walks and she took me to the local park and chased squirrels. She’s quite an awkward dog so it was quite funny.
    Then I went to the British history museum yesterday and woah it has so many exhibitions I did not get to all.
    But got to mainly Egypt and Greece and Indigenous Aus and NZ exhibitions :)    Les mer

    Here is London film that worked semi. Got it developed in Brick lane :)
    A lot of the pics we took we forgot to put the flash on and the camera had a few issues. Or maybe it was our fault too.

    Science museum

    Here is the last few days! I saw Laura who I met at a study camp and has been travelling for 3 months for lunch! And we walked past monument :) we got a yummy stew and mash potato plate 🙌
    I slept at Fi’s and looked after Louis and then Fi took me to get Ricotta honey hotcakes from her fav cafe and they were very good.
    Then I went to the science museum and that was cool.    Les mer

    Maritime museum

    Absolutely loved the first few pics - a photography exhibition in the Maritime museum :)
    Spent a few hours here and then scout came and met me and we did Morse code with lights and sound to each other in the kids area. It was actually quite hard to interpret it when you were hearing or seeing it. And we tried on the Antarctic room ancient and modern glasses. You would not be wanting to come here with the old ones let me tell ya that.Les mer

    Uber boats

    Scout and I went to Greenwich markets after the museum and caught the ferry back to London Bridge ! Super exciting :)
    We stopped to take a photo and heard some girls singing in the apartment balcony sideways above us and so we started dancing from the street with them with our phone flashlights and they saw us and we all were dancing on seperate levels together for a min. Very funny - we laughed the whole way over to Borough markets which I have been to so many times now and we got some mulled cider mm mmm. Love me a good mulled anything. It’s her last day here before she goes to Munich tomorrow 🥺
