Our second attempt at 4 wheel driving to a more secluded camping ground left us grateful we had tried as we entered into a breathtaking piece of this country. I almost don't want to show you photos because what is captured by them is such a small part of what we experienced. The raw beauty displayed by the mighty sand dunes, the roaring yet crystal clear ocean, the rugged cliffs and rocky shore and the kilometers of sand meeting the glorious sky did make one speechless. I didn't want to leave and allowed myself to make musings of the ways in which one could live in this place amount the wildlife that roamed so free.
The salmon were jumping out of the waves and the whiting (finally) took our bait and we welcomed the tall cliff which arched behind us protecting us from the sun's harsh rays as we fished our days away.
All sorts of creatures' tracks could be seen in the morning sand and several were identified by sightings.
We adventured, we played music, we lived and loved and we're thankful.
Also thankful for the large portion of shark gifted to us by some travelers who had caught more than what they could eat. Yay flake!Read more
