Weltreise - Australien

Winter is over, it is getting hot and humid in Brisbane so it is time to pack up the ferris wheels and bring them back south. We are going back to Adelaide and are super excited to be back in South Australia, just the best spot to be!

This time we had to drive two cars down, so Janine skipped the last day of pull down in Tweed Heads to start the 2000km drive a bit earlier. I had to finish pull down first to then chase after Janine. Even though it is a long drive the beauty of Australia is that there are no traffic jams outside of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide. So 1000km can be easily calculated as a 10h drive. On the first day I traveled down the coast and then turned into the waterfall way. I haven't had the time for all waterfalls but at least I saw some and they were amazing. Overnight I then stayed in Dubbo before I hit the road in the early morning again. The second day was straight through the outback on very boring roads but that gave me the chance to catch Janine in time for dinner in Mildura. The third day we only had a few kilometres left and travelled into South Australia and through the Riverland and the Barossa Valley.

Now we are back in Adelaide and have to setup the wheel again!

Winter ist endlich vorbei und wir packen die Riesenräder in Redcliffe und Tweed Heads zusammen um sie wieder nach Adelaide zu bringen.

Unser Riesenrad haben wir zuerst zusammen gepackt und auf den Zug geladen bevor wir im Anschluss direkt nach Tweed Heads sind um auch dort das Riesenrad abzubauen. Da wir lediglich 4 Tage für die 2000km zwischen Tweed Heads und Adelaide haben, hat sich Janine schon einen Tag früher auf den Weg gemacht um nicht zu viel am Stück fahren zu müssen.

Für mich ging es erst einen Tag später auf die Straße mit dem Ziel Janine am Ende des zweiten Tages zum Abendessen eingeholt zu haben. Meine erst Etappe führte mich entlang der Küste bis zum Waterfall Way und von dort dann ins Landesinnere nach Dubbo.

Am zweiten Tag wurde es dann ziemlich langweilig, denn es ging 800km mitten durchs Outback nach Mildura, wo ich Janine dann auch tatsächlich zur perfekten Abendessen Zeit eingeholt habe.

Die dritte und mit Abstand kürzeste Etappe führte uns dann zusammen nach South Australia und durch die Riverland Region und das Barossa Valley bis zum Strand von Glenelg.

Morgen bauen wir dann das Riesenrad wieder auf, wäre ja auch langweilig ohne Riesenrad!
