I stand on a rock and look out over the Gulf of Corinth, the sun's rays reflected in its steel-blue water. A few fishing boats have cast their nets and are dancing on the waves. I can see small and large islands in the distance and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin.

I'm carrying my bike on my shoulders and anyone who could see me now would think I'd had enough of cycling and was about to carry it over the cliffs. In fact, I briefly toy with the idea and smile to myself, then carry it down to the beach and put it back together again.
Yesterday evening I had chosen a nice beach to spend the night, but it was too uncomfortable for an overnight stay. At the end of the beach, I found a small path that led up a hill with a beautiful view over the water.
I also got used to the express train to Athens, which rushed past every 90 minutes or so 🙂Read more

Strandtag in Megara 🌊

Nach dem Frühstücken haben wir gespült und sind danach direkt an den Strand gegangen. Wir mussten nur 5 Meter gehen und schon waren wir am Strand. Das Meer war ruhig und in der Sonne war es sehr warm. Ich habe das SUP aufgepustet und schon ging es auf das Wasser. ☺️
Nachdem es mir aber dann zu heiß wurde, bin ich auch ins Wasser gegangen, mit Taucherbrille und Flossen.
Neben uns hat ein Mann FKK gemacht, doch das hat uns nicht gestört.
Nachdem wir das 2. Mal im Wasser waren, haben wir ein paar Bilder von uns gemacht und dabei wurde das Meer auch wilder. Es gab hohe Wellen. Draußen konnte man auch nicht mehr liegen, weil die Wellen den Strand verschluckt haben.

Wir sind dann noch ein Stück gefahren und haben uns die Brücke von Korinth angeschaut. Sie wird auch der Grand Canyon von Griechenland genannt. Früher ging der Schiffsverkehr hier durch, damit die Schiffe nicht Außen herum fahren mussten. Schon beeindruckend. ☺️Read more

So schnell ändern sich Pläne: Wollten wir gestern noch die PELOPONNES "langsam umrunden", haben wir uns jetzt doch entschieden, recht zügig Richtung KRETA weiterzuziehen. Grund ist die sich für die PELOPONNES etwas verschlechternde Wetterprognose.

Und so fahren wir heute quer über die "Insel" bis fast PIRÄUS, von wo morgen abend unsere Fähre nach KRETA ablegt.

Dabei bot uns das Wetter heute die volle Bandbreite von Weltuntergang bis blauer Himmel.Read more
