Tonight and tomorrow we will stay in Leon, resting up for the last 200 miles. We’ll devote tomorrow to the magnificent Gothic Cathedral.

We’re enjoying our rest day in Leon, and this siesta thing is pretty nice! Our hotel is just outside the Cathedral, across the street from a hospital (good location?!).

Today we climbed to the highest point on the Camino, Monte Irago, and the Iron Cross. The Cross was placed there in the 11 th century by a Catholic abbot to mark the way for pilgrims traveling to Czytaj więcej
... had to come down! And it was steep and VERY rocky. But the flowers and the scenery were beautiful,
