We zijn aangekomen in Lecco, dit ligt tegen het Como meer aan.
Op de heenreis zijn we even boodschappen gaan doen bij de Lidl, deze prijzen zijn goedkoper dan bij de plaatselijke supermarkt.
Mooie plek op de Camping Riva Bella, zie foto, het is alleen zinderend heet, 31 graden en een vochtigheid van 22 %.
Dus eerst de kwalificatie gezien en toen even Lucco in, daar was een filmfestival met een beroemde actrice, wie weet ik niet.
Even wat gedronken op het terras en heb ik geprobeerd in het Italiaans wat brabbelen, begint ze Engels te praten.
Nu zitten we op het terras op de camping tussen de locals, straks mag ik betalen, posse pagare..Read more

Ja, het is echt prachtig! Ik probeerde die kant op te fietsen, maar ineens hield het fietspad op. En daar fietsen op de weg vond ik toch wel spannend.

Tweede dag alweer, morgen vertrekken we richting het Gardameer.
Als er iets opvalt zijn het de muggen en vreemde wezens die vanaf de grond hun aanval inzetten, helemaal lek ben ik.
Maar dat geldt voor alle campings.
Vandaag wederom naar Lecco geweest om een markt te bezoeken en een groot overdekt winkelcentrum waar het prima vertoeven was met de hitte.
Gisteravond op het meer waren de traditionele vissersbootjes te zien zoals deze vroeger gebruikt werden.
Verder doen we regelmatig Catan, het is nu 2-3 voor Floor. Ik denk erover om de spelmaker aan te schrijven en een klacht in te dienen, de worp 7 moet uit het spel, zo wordt het spel te makkelijk gemaakt voor spelers die het spel niet tactisch spelen, dus wordt vervolgd!

Het is druk en we verwachten nog meer drukte maar we zullen het zien.Read more

Heute erstmal die Etappe von gestern zu Ende gefahren.
Stilfser Joch - dann ab in die Schweiz 🇨🇭 und dort hatten wir leider eine festgefahrene Bremse am ML! Min. 1 Stunde Verlust - heute müssen wir den Autobahn-Joker einsetzen!
Challenge: etwas gelbes gegen etwas blaues tauschen und in der Schweiz dann gegen etwas schwarzes ✅ !
Challenge: Wasser aus 🇩🇪 , Zapfen aus 🇦🇹 und Steine aus Italien und barfuß im Schnee ✅!
Die kleinste Wiskeybar Europas ✅ !
Ein cooler Tag!

Lake Como in Italys northern lake region is of glacial origin, dating back to the last Ice Age, around 10,000 years ago. It’s famous ‘Y’ shape was formed from the movement of an enormous glacier, which also displaced the huge mounds which now form the promontory, known as Bellagio which divides the two ‘legs’ of the lake. It is Europe’s deepest lake (410 metres at its deepest) and the third largest on the continent, with a perimeter of 170km. It is fed by the icy waters of the Adda River. We stayed in Lecco, one of the quieter larger towns at the base of the right leg. We enjoyed a scenic boat cruise yesterday, and did some town hopping between the villages of Bellagio and Como as well.Read more

Mount Erna by funicular and hiking

With wild thunderstorms forecast for mid afternoon, we took the bus then funicular up to Piani d’Erna in the morning. At the summit we had panoramic views of the lakes and surrounding mountains and we then had a beautiful 2 hour steep hike down through forest with a lovely lunch/beer stop at a Rifugio along the way. We arrived back in good time ..... but the forecast storms never eventuated!Read more

Der Hunger trieb mich nach Lecco 😋
In Wiki stand die Stadt mit dem schönsten Panorama. Hab's mal 📷

Dieses Mal hab ich den erst besten Parkplatz genommen und musst zum Centro noch 1,5 km gehen.

Das erste Centro, das ich gefunden habe, war das Centro di Commerziale (Einkaufszentrum).
Da gab's lecker Panini 🥪

Nach Ewigkeiten kam ich im wirklichen Tour-Zentrum an und eigentlich war ich dort auch schon mal 😂Read more

Early departure from Lecco

We woke up yesterday to the news that there will be no trains running on Wednesday (country wide strike) and we were due to leave that day and had many connecting trains over the next few days. Barbara our host kindly helped us come up with a solution and we are leaving Lecco a day early to get over the Swiss border before we are affected.
We had a lovely farewell dinner last night with Barbara, Pier Marco, Francesca (and her friend Francesca) and we are very excited that we will see them again soon in Croatia.Read more

Last night we walked into town for the Lake and Mountain Festival. It was a wonderful party atmosphere and included a regatta and more than 30 minutes of incredible fireworks (the noise reverberated off the mountains all around us). We somehow managed to slip through into a ‘members only’ club right on the water front and had a sensational view!
The very hot weather has continued and our days tend to go something like this - Lake swimming in the late morning, siesta in the afternoon in front of the fan, icy aperitif on the terrace in the evening and sleeping with the fan and wet towels. Not so bad really.Read more
