One cool washroom view! Tokyo Skytree, the tallest tower, and second tallest structure, in the world. Observation floors at 350m and 450m (you can see them in the pic ... gives an idea of scale, erm bloody enormous! On my list 🙄

I think this is a tanuki (that may be plural). The tanuki are racoon-like creatures in folklore. As well as being pranksters they protect against fire and theft. There’s a whole row in slightly different forms along this street.

Little buns, all different shapes. 7 for ¥500, so 50p each. I watched the man making them and couldn't resist. I have to say I'd imagined the filling was chocolatey rather than bean paste. Live and learn! Still tasty but 7 was too many to manage warm.

Skytree (still a mile away), Asahi Beer tower which represents a beer jug with froth on the top, and Asahi Beer HQ with golden flame - designed by Philippe Starck. It represents a beer glass with froth, but is apparently sometimes referred to as the 'golden turd' by Tokyo residents. Very striking in any case!
