Traveler We are near Briancon just now Stuart and it’s got noticeably warmer last 2 days. Like you say, it makes a huge difference to get your ascent walking done early. Also saw similar with your pilgrims accommodation and where we staying in Refuges and Gites for the GR routes. There seems to be no consistency and you never know what you are going to get!
