Alright so this morning my three new friends Johannes, Francesca, and Lison (from Feance) and myself departed for Wanaka! We packed ourselves and all our luggage and backpacks into the small car that they rented and off we went.
We made a stop at lake Matheson for almost two hours. It was a beautiful Lake that was surrounded by the mountains which made for quite lovely photos. Here Jo and I chatted about our lives and our countries back home. He explained why Dortmund's soccer club is so great and popular and honestly it sounded kinda similar to the riders because they have lots of neighboring towns that come into the city for all the games so they have fans from all around west Germany.
I had a nap for a while ane then around noon we stopped at Knights point which was a small lookout area. A while later we stopped at Flat Point so Francesca could take a nice picture of the mountains. Then we ended up staying there a while and cooking some nice spaghetti with their portable stove. I have to say Francesca is quite the cook!
We got into Wanaka around five ish. I gave them some gas money and then checked in. Soon after that I found Emilie with her new friend Becca who I quickly befriended. We had a light dinner before going out for drinks. We went to this place called water bar where I had about 3 pints which was plenty. We all shared very personal details and thoughts and exchanged very deep conversations which I quite enjoyed. Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day in Wanaka so we will see what it brings!

Wow what a day. Woke up around 830 and quickly got ready. After having a quick breakfast, Hannes Francesca, Lison and I headed out to do a big day hike at Roy's peak. We got there shortly after 10 and got to the summit around 130. The total hike with return was 16km! And let me tell you, it was not an easy 16km.
At the summit I met Kelly and Eriko, two sisters from the states. We exchanged chocolates and travel stories. There was a lookout spot where these two german girls needed help taking a picture. After I helped them they returned the favour and they ended up getting my favourite shot of the trip so far! Perfectly timed!
Around 430 we got back to the car and headed back into Wanaka. The three of them were off to Queenstown, but I have two more nights to enjoy Wanaka. They were a great group and I really enjoyed spending the last two days with them!
Then I got back to the hostel and met up with Emilie and Becca. We went for a nice dinner at lake bar. I had beer short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetable and I also ate Emilie's fries too because I was solo hungry! Afterwards I even went to the super market and bought a chocolate cake and some milk and enduldged. I have lots left so I'll eat it for breakfast tomorrow.
The rest of the night was low key and spent in the hostel. I played three games of pool against a kiwi lad named Louis and I won them all on the black ball. Tomorrow should be a good day on the town.

Today I woke up to Emilie telling me to get up because it was already half past ten. Oops. I got up and had chocolate cake for breakfast with Emilie, Rebecca, and a french girl named Anne from my dorm room. That was a really nice way to start the day.
Emilie and I decided to go for a brief walk after I got ready for the day. We went down to the beach for a while before Maria (from the ferry) met up with us and Becca and we all walked down to the local vineyard. On the way down we found the wanaka tree which is the a small tree growing out of the water in the shoreline. I took a picture that looks like I'm holding it haha.
We got to the vineyard and sampled a few different wines. The first were a few pinot noirs. They were okay but I'm really not a red wine person. The rieslings were much better and the four of us even decided to buy a bottle. So we sat on the hill of the vineyard and enjoyed the bottle in the sunshine. It was a relaxing afternoon.
When we got back to the hostel Emilie and i decided to spend the evening together just the two of us. So we went out and I suggested starting with dessert so we went and got gelato. Emilie got Dulce de Leche which I don't even know what that means and I got some cool named caramel. It was honestly some of the best ice cream/gelato I've ever had. We just sat on the beach and enjoyed our ice cream while watching the sun set over the mountains.
Later we decided to get pizza. On the way back to the hostel we stopped to get a few things at the grocery store. There was a guy outside busking and he was amazing. He did a diamonds cover by Rihanna. The way he did it was so beautiful and original. My mood changed substantially after that and I just began to appreciate everything about wanaka and what the evening had become.
We got back to the hostel and had our pizza. A little bit later I saw a guitar and decided I would play Emilie a few songs that I had written. I ended up feeling quite comfortable in front of her so I shared four. Later on we spoke and she explained that she had connected quite a bit with my song lyrics. That was honestly one of the best feelings in the world to know that my lyrics really touched someone. She also seemed quite confident in my vocal ability which was flattering to say the least.
Afterwards Rebecca, Emilie and I just had a nice relaxing evening together sharing more personal stories. Tomorrow Emilie and I leave for Queenstown. I'm sure lots of epic adventures await! Goodnight my friends!

Alrighty!
So today woke up and checked out of the hostel. Emilie, Rebecca and I had great morning of walking down by the lake. I found a statue and took a few interesting photos with it. The girls needed coffee and so we stopped at the same shop that Emilie and I had gelato at yesterday. There were these three guys that were having double scoop ice cream cones for breakfast and I was so jealous! After we bought some tortellini and had a quick lunch. I might have put too much salt... oops.
After lunch I found a guitar and started playing again. I played a small show for Emilie and Rebecca for a while before the hostel owners son Isaac came by and I invited him to play. He was quite an amazing guitarist and he played some older tunes from Pink Floyd and the Beatles.
After that Emilie and I departed to catch the bus to Queenstown. It was a beautiful drive full of beautiful trees that were changing colours for the autumn months and reflective lakes that made beautiful pictures for the eyes to behold.
Upon arriving in Queenstown Emilie and I quickly found our hostel and checked in. I was also able to meet up with my friend Emma that I met in Franz Joseph and we set up plans for tomorrow tomorrow but they're a surprise!
Once everything was sorted Emilie and i set out for dinner. We found this place called fat badgers. They had two sizes of pizza, 12" and 20" so naturally we got a half and half of the big one. And wow was it ever big. Half was some sort of lamb creation which was my favourite and the other half was a chicken bacon something rather which was pretty good also.
This young guy actually served us the pizza. When we left we thanked him and I asked if he himself had made the pizza and he shook his head yes. I then asked his name. He said Badger. I said like you own this place? And he said yes. I thanked him and was so taken back that such a young lad could own such a wonderful place to eat. Not to mention it was packed. This moment was definitely one of the highlights of my trip because my newfound way of thanking people really paid off this time because otherwise I would never have known I was served the pizza by the owner himself!
After dinner Emilie wanted to go somewhere to just have a relaxed glass of wine. As we walked there was a place with live music and I wanted to go in but I knew she already had a place in mind so I didn't say anything (I should mention this isn't Emilie's first time in Queenstown). Anyways the bar with live music ended up being the place she wanted to go and I was very pleased.
I got a beer and she got wine but I didn't like my beer so we ended up switching drinks. Me and red wine are not usually friends but this particular one was very nice to sip. We shared a lot of wonderfully personal and deep thoughts. I even started explaining how all the most important people in my life had influenced me and changed my view of the world which was quite an interesting realization. I recommend you do it one day. Just stop and think of all the traits you have and who around you has given you them or influenced those thoughts or behaviours. It's quite eye opening in a good way!
The band was a couple from Ireland called Calico. They were absolutely amazing. Shortly into their performance they announced that they took requests so I requested some ed sheeran and they played "A team" for me which was really nice. They also played Babylon by David grey and What are you waiting for by George Ezra which weren't songs I knew but I quite enjoyed and will have to learn once I am back home.
Finally I grew tired and we headed back to the hostel which to my delight was actually just down the street. On my real birthday (Saturday) Emilie will be leaving to go back to the north island so we're celebrating tomorrow. I'm sure it will be quite the day! Goodnight everyone and take care!

Today is a really big day for me because it marks my last day at the age of twenty three. I can honestly say that twenty three was the best year of my life so far and I can only hope that twenty four will be able to keep up!
Anyways!
Woke up around 830 and Emilie had kindly gone to the store and bought cereal and milk for us to enjoy. When we finished up breakfast we headed out on out first adventure of the day: luging (essentially go carting down a mountain without an engine haha). We took the gondola up the mountain and got a great view of the city. The luge track didn't technically open until 10 so we were one of the first people on the track once it did. To be honest the luge was slightly underwhelming but it was good because I had good company with me! Emilie and i refused to purchase the photos, but I did snap a picture of the screen so I do have a choppy keepsake haha.
Afterwards we went back to the hostel to try and nap because both of us were quite exhausted and we both needed a nap. I only slept about 10 minutes before housekeeping woke me up and luckily Emilie didn't have any better luck in her room so we both decided to just go get lunch.
We went to a place called Devil Burger which I believe rivals ferg burger (which is a famous joint here in Queenstown). It was quite a sizable burger and Emilie shared her fries with me so I was stuffed.
Around one I met up with Emma and we walked to the next adventure of the day... SKYDIVING! Mom's probably freaking out right about now, but I'm writing this so obviously I survived! 😊 Anyways we arrived and checked in. They walked us through a brief safety demonstration before we were driven out to the drop site. It was a nice little area right beside the remarkables (Queenstown's mountain range). Emma and I were in the later group so we had to wait a little while. We played lawn size chess and then decided to write things on our hands for the dive.
Shortly after that we were called in and it was time to suit up. I met my tandem partner who was Mario from Portugal. He got me all suited up and prepared and walked me through a few rules and such. Afterwards we all crammed ourselves onto the little plane.
As we began to ascend it really hit me that I was about to skydive. The plane ride itself was beautiful and quite a roller coaster for the stomach. Once we hit 15,000 feet the door opened and bodies began leaving the plane two at a time. Emma was the first person out and she screamed haha I was the second one out and this guy from China named Nemo that I had met was the very last one.
The feeling was crazy. My ears we're screaming but the view went unchallenged with anything I'd ever seen. We began above the clouds and quickly broke through them. The mountains and lake seemed to merge into one. It was amazing. Eventually Mario pulled the parachute and it felt like we came to a complete halt. My ears did not enjoy this part. But soon enough he handed me the reins and off we descended. He took them back for a while which was cool and we did some neat arial tricks. Soon enough we hit the ground and I had officially completed my first ever skydive!
I cleared my ears out and then got a nice photo with Mario. I talked more to Nemo and he explained he was actually on his honey moon which I thought was really cute. Emma and I both kinda felt rough afterwards so we decided to have a nap and then regroup later.
When I awoke I felt quite rested and I was ready for the rest of my day! Emilie had written up a few post cards as a happy birthday present which was quite unexpected and sweet. After I got showered up we went out for a nice dinner. Neither of us were really in the mood for it but we ended up in a loud English pub. The food was far from phenomenal but it was alright. Later we both needed grounding so we sat on a bench and took a few deep breaths by the sea. I chose to close my eyes and in doing so experienced the most intense "people watching" moment I'd ever had. In the few minutes I had my eyes closed I heard so many conversations held by women and men and toddlers and birds. It was just such an amazing moment for me. I think that's how I'm going to "people watch" from now on.
Afterwards we had plans to go out with others from the hostel for a wild night but I changed my mind and we decided to go for a quiet drink instead. I wasn't in a particularly good mood, but with Emilie's help I was able to pick myself back up and come back to life. We sat along the shoreline of the lake and chatted for quite some time and just took it all in. Queenstown has quite a LOUD vibe to it, which I've already realized isn't really my thing, but I'm going to try and find the beauty in it in the next two days while I'm here.
Before bed Emilie wished me an official happy birthday and that was that. I don't really have plans for tomorrow, so we'll see what happens!

Today I am twenty four years old and it turned out to be quite a lovely birthday in the southern hemisphere!
I woke up and went for pancakes with Emilie. The plate didn't look very full, but in the end I couldn't finish it all. We went for a short stroll before we grabbed her things from the hostel and headed for the bus stop. It was a very hard goodbye, but she's heading back to Paihia and the north lands to try and find a job up there. I'm sure she will and she will very much enjoy her time here in NZ, just as I enjoyed every second I had with her 😊
I spent the next while in the lobby just relaxing. I had to check out of my room today and into a new room because of the way I booked my stay here in queenstown. I met some of the staff here and we ended up going for lunch together. They seem like a decent bunch. I had a nice penne pasta which was absolutely delicious. Then I went back to the hostel and had an awesome three hour nap!
When I woke up I met Sam from Korea and then had a refreshing shower. After I got all cleaned up I went back to the pub on the wharf. I ordered a point of wheat beer and a rib and wedges combo for supper which was quite tasty! I watched the rugby game, wellington vs the chiefs and wellington lost by one point. This family of four came and sat with me and watched. I bonded a little with the son over rugby and game of thrones.
Once the game was over the live music started and so I found a place closer to the stage to sit. I ended up sitting with a middle aged couple named Glenda and Mark from Golden Bay, New Zealand. Glenda was a cooking teacher and Mark taught too for a long time but was now doing something with sewing? I think that's what I heard anyways. The music was great to begin because the girl had a great voice, but one the guy started singing it really went downhill so I just continued conversing with my new friends. At one point Mark left and I assumed he went to the bathroom but he came back with another pint for me and said happy birthday mate. I was really quite taken back by their generosity 😊 I stayed until about 1130 and then left but my night wasn't over.
I came back to the hostel and around 1230, a group of staff and others departed for a late night hike to Queenstown hill. The hike was much more intense than I expected, especially because it was night time and relatively cold. After about an hour and a half we reached the summit. The view of all the surrounding towns was beautiful and the full moon was amazing. Unfortunately the full moon also prohibited us from seeing the meteor shower that was supposed to be occurring. But of course I didn't let that bother me. The stars were still beautiful and I enjoyed every second that we spent underneath them. At one point during the hike I realized how little there was to worry about in New Zealand with regards to wildlife because there was literally nothing that was going to get us. We took a few specialty nighttime pictures before calling it a night. By about 330 we got back to the hostel and I fell sleep almost immediately.
The next day I slept in. Called home and chatted with the folks for a while. Was nice to properly catch up with everyone😊 I had ice cream for breakfast like a champion! Afterwards I went downstairs and watched the nba playoffs before getting ready for the day. Went out but didn't really explore too much. Had a lazy day and ended up watching movies with some people from the hostel, first batman begins and then fight club. Tomorrow will be quite a day! Goodnight!

Alright. So I checked last night and the buses to dunedin today we're totally booked. In order to not alarm anyone (mom) I didn't mention in last night's post that I spent about an hour while watching tv working on my Dunedin sign.
So anyways this morning I woke up and showered and tried to look as presentable as possible before heading out on my adventure! Most of the stores were closed for ANZAC day (NZ's remembrance day) so I grabbed a cinnamon bun from the one place that is always open...Starbucks.
Afterwards I set out for the street my hostel staff friends had sent me to. It wasn't quite on the edge of town but it was where the highway was just beginning. It had a perfect stretch long enough for vehicles to be able to see me and my sign and a nice shoulder for them to stop. I stood there plugged into my iPod casually dancing and waving at the cars as they went by. A few people flipped me the bird but most had warm smiles or waves showing that they were either already full or not going to Dunedin. After only about 15 minutes of waiting a nice camper van pulled over and a couple from the UK popped their heads out of the window. Initially they explained they were heading to Arrowtown which wouldn't be nearly far enough, but they quickly clarified that they were just going through for a walk and a coffee and would be in Dunedin by early evening at the latest. I told them that plan worked with me and they kindly opened the door and allowed me to put my stuff in the back storage area.
The van had a bench seat in the front so it wasn't the definition of comfortable but I certainly wasn't picky. Angela and Derek quickly introduced themselves and we quickly began chatting of all sorts of things.
Arrowtown was a short drive from Queenstown but they had a friend waiting on them there. After meeting Gwill (short for Gwilliam, apparently a welsh name) we sat down for a quick coffee. There was a parade on the main street for ANZAC day that we watched. After coffee we all set out on quick walk by the river and to see the bautiful autumn colors. It just so happened that this weekend was the autumn festival in arrowtown so the trees we're all absolutely beautiful in color. Reds, oranges, greens, purples, and yellows spread out everywhere. It was absolutely beautiful. I even took a super cute photo of the couple while they were walking. The greatest part is that they never even knew I took the photo until I sent it to them tonight 😊 Shortly after that we left and continued on our adventure.
We exchanged cookies throughout the drive. About an hour later we stopped in Alexandra for a grocery stop. They got lunch stuff and I bought magnum ice cream bars to share with them. There were 4 in the package and just three of us because Gwill left so I legitimately walked up to this stranger who was probably late thirties and asked him if he wanted ice cream. His face was like "is that a trick question? " but he eventually smiled and nodded yes. I could tell he was grateful and it made my heart smile 😊
After another half hour or so we found a nice spot to pullover and have our lunch. There was a nice stream/river flowing through the colorful trees which made for beautiful scenery.
The rest of the drive was really quite nice. All kinds of different scenery. When we got to Dunedin they offered to take me right to my hostel so I happily accepted. After dropping me off at the door I was more than thankful. What an absolutely beautiful and wonderful experience for me.
I checked into the hostel and relaxed for a while before going into the city centre for dinner. My good friend Amanda actually worked in Dunedin for a long time while she was here and I'm staying at both the hostel she worked in and I ate at the restaurant she worked in. So I walked in and asked for Rion and by coincidence he said yup that's me and I said Amanda send me here and his face lit up and he said "we loved Amanda." I ordered a peroni beer and a half and half pizza. The pizza crust was so thin and crispy and just wow. So good! Grace was my server and she had the absolute best energy to her. She just seemed so jolly and genuine, it was a pleasure to meet her.
After I came back to the hostel and there was a game of thrones premiere night. Literally half the hostel showed up to watch it which was so cool! After we watched gladiator. It turned out to be quite quite a late night. Did you that the guy who plays dumbledore in the first few Harry potters is in gladiator!? Well now yoy do! 😊 Unfortunately I fell asleep about an hour in. I woke up about 3 hours later in the tv room nearly pitch dark. It was actually really cute because I had a blanket on that someone much have covered me up with because I didn't have one when I fell asleep. It's now about 330 am and I'm going to my room. Goodnight!!!!

Today I slept in a bit. The weather was cloudy and really windy so it took me quite a while to get up and off my butt, but by about noon I set out on my adventure.
The hostel was just outside the city centre so first I walked through the octagon which is Dunedin's downtown. The geographic layout was quite neat. Afterwards I set out east with Baldwin Street in mind. It turned out to be over an hours walk and about halfway there it started to rain but it was just a light shower so I didn't let it bother me.
Eventually I got to Baldwin street which for those of you who don't know is the steepest street in the whole world. After staring at it for a few minutes I decided I better make the trek up otherwise the whole journey would have been a waste. The top didn't have quite as nice of view as I hoped but I imagined taking a slip'n slide down which was quite an entertaining thought. On my walk down there was a locksmith walking up and I greeted him with a smile. He said "I hate working on this street" and we both let out a small chuckle.
On the walk down to Baldwin street I got the city vibe from most of the people I walked by, I'm sure you know the one and it made me realize I don't particularly care for cities. The thing about cities is that everyone is always late or trying to get somewhere asap. So they keep their heads down, almost afraid to say hello or greet a stranger as though it might cost them too much time out of their already ever busy days. It was this combined with the rushing sounds of traffic that made me very thankful when I noticed the botanical gardens on my walk home.
I took the detour and explored the serene pathways. Everything was so wonderfully green. Ducks and other birds flew around and swam through ponds. I think I needed a time out from the city especially after spending the previous two weeks in places no bigger than 30,000. When I was ready I left the gardens and slowly made my way back to the hostel. It had been quite a long afternoon of walking.
When I arrived back at the hostel there was news of a quiz night at a bar so I made a quick supper and off we went. Most of the group was staff and they were all quite easy to chat with. I especially bonded with a Frenchman named Loic. The quiz questions were quite difficult but I got a few for our team so I felt good about my contributions. At one point in the intermission blink 182's song i miss you came on and this drunk guy decided he was going to sing along at the top of his lungs. Now despite where you think this is going he actually did a phenomenal job and it was quite enjoyable! On the walk home Loic and I made plans for tomorrow afternoon and bonded over how stupid this guy from Kansas was haha.
April 27, 2016
So again today started out quite lazy. I decided I felt like starting the day with a movie so I watched " "Remember Me." I had seen it before but it took me a while to appreciate so I'm glad I watched it again. After it finished, Loic and his friend Tim came over and we set out on out adventure. After about an hours walk we reached St Claire Beach. It was absolutely beautiful and yet quite quiet with minimal foot traffic. The sun wasn't really out but the clouds painted a beautiful picture amidst the blues in the sky and the ocean. I even felt the urge to do a few cartwheels on the beach. On the walk back into the city Loic and I had some very interesting chats about the existing social systems in play and more or less debated capitalism vs socialism. It got a little bit heated at times, but it was an extremely entertaining conversation to have.
By six we had headed back into town to catch the Speights brewery tour. Having never been on a brewery tour before I quite enjoyed learning about the process and how Speights became the number one beer in NZ. I even learned that until 2011 when Christchurch had the big earthquake, Speights distributed their beer using tankers like the ones you see carrying petrol. That's A LOT of beer. At the end we were allowed to sample 6 different kinds of their beer. The malt dark beer was my favourite, and it seems my taste in beer is slowly changing towards the darker beers. Fun fact, right before I took the photo I spilled beer all over my pants haha.
Afterwards the three of us headed back to the hostel and played a game of Monopoly to which Loic won quite quickly. It was probably the fastest game of Monopoly I've ever played.
Anyways that's it for Dunedin. Two more days in NZ and then I'm off to Australia! Tomorrow, Christchurch!

Alright another super early morning for this lad! Woke up at 6 to catch the bus on time. Had a pretty good snooze on the bus though before our midway stop where I had banana bread and a milkshake for breakfast haha.
After a long six hour bus ride I arrived I Christchurch. Now for those of you who don't know, Christchurch got pretty demolished about five years ago by a couple big earthquakes within the span of a few months. These two quakes almost entirely leveled the city and within months the city was a disaster. Now from what a local told me, NZ kinda refused to ask for help in the rebuild and hence it has taken quite a while to rebuild. Even today as I walked through the city centre it was evident that there was still quite a ways to go. Construction was absolutely everywhere.
But there was some beauty to this devastation. Street art is everywhere and it is beautiful. Also as a way to cope with lack with the demolition that the earthquake left, a lot of shops and small food stands are run out of old train cars which gives the city a very unique feel.
Once I checked into the hostel I went straight to my room with full intentions of having a long nap. Unfortunately I had about 10 minutes sleep before snapping myself out of a bad dream. After accepting I wasn't going to be able to go back to bed I went down to to he lounge and watched about a boy (to movie). Despite the Netflix show being pretty good, the movie was pretty shit and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone haha.
Afterwards I showered and had a salad for supper. I met a girl from the Netherlands and a guy named Paul who was from Germany. Paul was really cool and relatively shy, but was a very warm character. Apparently the night before he had noticed there was free flour in the kitchen and fre yeast so he made dough last night to make himself pizza today. Pretty smart kid. So he made a pizza completely from scratch today and what's even better, he decided to share it with me! It was so tasty and I was more than impressed. On top of that he was only like eighteen.
Later I relaxed for the most part. I played some pool with Paul and wrote this entry. I decided to call it an early night. Tomorrow will be a long day because I'm heading to Australia!

So I woke up this morning to the densest fog ever. Nice.
Got ready and checked out of the hostel, but I was allowed to leave my bag there. I bummed around until about noon when I decided I better get out and see some of the city. First I figured out the bus to the airport and then I went on a hunt for food. I ended up at this cheap little asian restaurant. I had the best peanut stir fry ever. It was so delicious! Bonus, while I waited for my food I managed to map out where I wanted to go on my afternoon adventure!
So I headed out and the first thing I noticed is that the map I had marked all the spots where there was building art so that was the bulk of my adventure. A lot of the art was mural sized and rather abstract but they were all stunning in their own ways! I think the art really helps tourists and residents alike keep their eyes up and on the art rather than the ruins of what used to be.
On of my favourite pieces of art was the dance-o-mat (naturally). So essentially on the corner of this one streets sits a like 8x8 meter dance floor with a speaker in each corner. On the side of the dance floor is a laundry machine with an iPod jack. You deposit tl $2 into the machine and you can play music there for the next half an hour. Pretty freaking cool and you can get it pretty loud! If we had one of these back home I would probably live there. Needless to say I had a public dance party there... haha.
Afterwards I went walking down new regent street which had an almost European feel to it. The buildings were colorful and old styled. I can't really explain. There I stopped at Mrs Higgins over fresh cookies. They were so fresh and the shop smelled so so good. Also on the same street I saw a guy maybe in his fifties straight up dressed like a sorcerer, hat and all, sitting at a table having coffee. Didn't get a picture with him and I'm regretting that now.
Next I went to restart mall. It's a mall almost entirely made up of old train cars. Even stores like lulu lemon were in them which was cool.
Next I went to the botanic gardens and I learned why christchurch is called garden city! The garden is absolutely massive! And it has a little River (nothing like saskatoon's) running through it where people could canoe or kayak down. I didn't have time or I definitely would have! Either way it was super beautiful, serene, and quiet.
After I needed some supper so I found this place called Mexicanos. I had a quick chat with the bartender and he recommended a fish taco and this special Mexicanos fried chicken. The taco was gone so fast but the chicken really surprised me. Somehow it was almost sweet in flavour. And so tender. It was slightly expensive but definitely worth it. The bartender actually knew were saskatoon was because he had dated a girl from there once upon a time! Small world!
Afterwards I got back to the hostel and I had received an email saying my flight was delayed so I spent a while at the hostel before heading to the airport. Now here I am waiting eagerly to my plane for my next big adventure!
New Zealand has been absolutely incredible to me. Each place I visited gave me a unique memory that I'm sure I will cherish and hold onto for a long, long time. Australia here I come!!!
