Ihr lieben Alle 🌜🌟 ,
heute sind wir etwas k.o....und machen gleich superschnell die Augen zu 😴.
Aber erst noch ein paar Fotos, die gestern nicht mehr ins Bilderlimit paßten.
Auf den ersten Bildern seht Ihr das Haus unseres "Landlords" von gestern und den dazugehörigen Abendhimmel 😋. Die Bilder danach von heute morgen zeigen Euch, wie Campingplätze hier in England auch aussehen können 🙈🙈🙈. Auf jeden Fall hatten wir ein Klöchen und eine Dusche (😱...Ich habe sie nicht benutzt!!!), aber sehr nette Vermieter, die uns sogar für den nächsten Campingplatz ein passendes Stromkabel schenkten. Und das alles für 12 Pfund - alles in allem ein echter Schnapper 😂👍.
Ansonsten waren wir heute nur unterwegs. Kleine Reparaturen und Einkäufe waren notwendig, auf dass wir jetzt gestiefelt und gesport auf unsere Fähre morgen früh warten. Alles ist ready for take off - IRLAND WIR KOMMEN 🚢🌤🌊!!!Read more

„Another place“ - Crosby Beach

Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt in Liverpool, wo wir am Hafen Suflaki zum Mittag aßen und noch einen erfrischenden Iced Latte auf einer mit Kunstwiese überzogenen Treppe tranken, fuhren wir für ca. 1 Stunden zu dem „Crosby Beach“, wo wir uns die Ausstellung „Another place“ ansehen wollten. Auf mehreren Kilometer verteilt findet man auf Land und im Wasser 100 „Iron Men“, die Richtung Meer blicken. Uns amüsierte die visuelle Perspektive, da man viele erst auf den zweiten, wenn nicht sogar erst dritten Blick als Statue erkannte. Am meisten begeisterten uns dann am Ende die Hunde, welche fröhlich und vergnügt den Strand ebenso wie wir genossen. Doch an den „Ainsdale Beach“ kam er nicht ran.Read more

Liverpool - Belfast. Die Irland - Fähre

Wir verlassen Liverpool mit der Stena Line. An Bord sehe ich das erste mal eine Rolltreppe in einer Fähre. Schönes Schiff, Zimmer 680 suchen. Ab in die Dusche. Danach noch kurz die Abfahrt durch die Skyline von Liverpool beobachten um dann in die harten Betten zu steigen. Die Kabinen sind niedlich, aber eng. Morgens um 5.30 werden wir mit Lautsprecher-Durchsagen geweckt. Die Nacht war nicht so schön.
Ständiges Türen Knallen und gesülze auf englisch in den Fluren. Aber wir sind da!Read more

Once on the Tow Path it was all go. I was the support vehicle and planned to intercept Holly & Jonah at various bridges. However, on the first few I arrived there to see they had already gone through and we're ahead of me (we used WhatsApp live location). With heavy traffic and many, many traffic lights, getting ahead of them and intercepting the route was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. I had to think much further ahead to give myself enough time to arrive, park somewhere nearby and walk to the canal. The tub of Celebrations that Aunty Sylvia gave us was very welcome. Spirits were high and my fears of there being no tow path or local scallys nicking the bikes were completely unfounded.Read more

Up at 1:30am after a difficult 5 hours sleep. Off to the airport in a bit. Reminds me of working nights, that sickly under slept feeling where you feel like you need to take your eyeballs out of your head and scrub them clean. Airport travel is so uncivilised and unnatural after experiencing the overnight boat to Amsterdam last New year. It's been very hot in the UK this past week heading to even hotter climes seems a bit insane, but hey, I like insane. Keep the coffee coming!Read more

"Another place" is an art featuring 100 cast iron figures spread out foreshore. These figures are all made from the artist own body. The artist said he just want to show there are no hero, no ideal, and just a mid-aged man try to remain standing try to breathe, facing a busy horizon with ships.

The scene reminds me of spirited away.

That familiar not enough sleep feeling again... stil managed ti get about 3 maybe 4 hours. Its gonna be a long long day. Off to the airport about 3am forma 7.55 flight to Heraklyion which should see us arriving about 13.55 greek time. Where we can oicknup our hire car and make the drive down the main highway past Rethymon and then down to Hora Sfakion for our first hotel.Read more
