    Fahrt nach Baltimore

    May 24, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

    Start Spreading the News!

    July 7, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

We packed our belongings and left our lovely apartment to head to the Amtrak station. It was a cool 21c, which made our walk to the station quite pleasant!

We boarded our train to NYC at about 11:30 and arrived just before 1 at Penn Station. We made stops in Trenton, NJ and Newark, NJ along the way. Our next task was to get to the subway and then to Harlem where we were staying. It took a bit of time, but we got it figured out and ended up in Harlem where we met Barbara who owns the place. The apartment was big and airy and beautiful, and she even gave us a gift basket!

After we settled in, we went to Whole Foods to grab a snack before taking the subway to Greenwich. From there we walked to the Chelsea Market. We checked out the shops and grabbed a few bites including a lobster roll and pork tacos. Evan also bought himself some mini doughnuts. Then we walked the high line for awhile since it was such a beautiful day!

From there we began to head towards the Empire State Building, which was one of Evan’s “must do” items. We had purchased a Go City card, which allowed us to skip the line for tickets. What a lifesaver! The ticket line had to be at least an hour long! We just whizzed on by and made our way to the first elevator.

    Elmwood zoo

    June 12, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Today was a perfect relaxing day. We got up and had a lazy morning and then when Jack and Jen came home we made our way to the little Elmwood Zoo not far from their house. Jack and Jen have been members for years and have seen it grow over the years.

The zoo was definetly little and local but it was so cute and had mostly animals that were endangered or critical. The kids were spoiled by Jack and Jen as they fed the farm animals, the bison and the parrot and birds.

After the zoo we played at the pool and has an amazing rib and salmon dinner that our hosts has cooked for us.

    Nothing but a great day.

    Sesame place

    June 14, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Lisa and Bill live 20 min from Sesame Place so it was the perfect place to take the kids on a gorgeous sunny day.

We had a fun time and went all the dry rides and made it to some of water park. The favourite ride for Brandon was Oscar's wacky taxi. It was a super fast old ridgy roller coaster. Brandon went on both with Josh and Elisa as the lines we very reasonable.

We got to see the 4pm Sesame Parade before we left back to Lisa and Bill xs house where we had yummy stromboli and pizza.

    Day 48 - Mallrats

    October 25, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 2 °C

That's correct, the only photo of today is that of a shopping mall.

We went to the largest shopping mall in the US with over 400 shops. It is called the King of Prussia and yes, it's huge. That was it, that was all we managed today. And watching lots of TV and lounging about.

    Song of the Day:
Survivor - Eye of the Tiger (was not used for yesterday's post and we drew a blank for today)

    Disc Golf Field Practice

    June 19, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 84 °F

    Practice in the park.

Weather was rather warm and humid. We were lucky that we could throw from a shaded area into the sunlight, so it saved us from getting too toasty.

Brenda did some filming with her phone and Coaches Eye so we could see all the things we are doing wrong :-)

Things are getting better with the throws, but we still have a long ways to go to get 300+ all the time with our drives.

Brenda has been having good success with the faster drivers as of late. She's liking the Katana, and I think I will keep an eye out for an Air Trespass to add to her growing collection.

I tried out the Vision, and it's a really good disc. Might have it in the bag for a bit to see if I can find the right times to use it. My Glow TieDye Escape is currently filling the role that the Vision would be used for.

    Plains Park Disc Golf

    June 17, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 88 °F

This was a really tough little 9 hole course. The holes aren't super long, but they are quite tight in the woods. Multiple holes are of the variety that you just have to throw and hope.

Tee pads are just bare dirt, and the brush thankfully isn't too thick. Some mud in spots and lots of flying critters, but no other people playing, so was easy to play a relaxed round.

No birdies for me, but I was more playing "course management" to try and get as many pars as I could.

Brenda struggled at times, but it was quite a bit hotter and throwing full out was nearly impossible.

No really noteworthy shots, but I was happy with some of my drives sneaking through the trees :-)

+2 for 9 holes isn't as good as the Even after 18 from the day befo;-re, but it felt like a good accomplishment :-)

    D Town Disc golf

    June 17, 2018 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 82 °F

Bought a Lat 64 Factory Second Vision
    8 6 -1 2 for the numbers.

Pretty nice store. Lots of selections, but sadly, not nearly as many light discs (lucid air) trilogy discs that we might have been looking for.

They also didn't have any Elasto / Frost / Fluid discs that I was hoping to check out.

No used discs either, so the only "cheap" discs were the factory seconds.

Tim and Andree have been doing great with their Vision discs, so when I saw one for super cheap, I had to snag it!
