zu stark abgefahrenes Profil des Pneus rechts.
Was für eine Büezergarage 🙄.

The beauty of a Tailwind

Today we experienced the beauty of the tailwind- we coasted for miles today! 79 miles completed and we did not even start until 9:30 am.
We realized we were not going to meet our goal in time and the delight of anticipating the next day had waned. There are times to persevere no matter what the cost, but there are also times to stop, so Pecos is the end and we won't make it to the Pacific coast. God tells us there are different times and seasons.

I have enjoyed this trip and the people we have interacted with on the road and online. We have been able to appreciate how God has made people and communities unique, and delights in differences. We have received so much encouragement and hope we encouraged others as well.
We have a great family and look forward to seeing them again and celebrating special events in their lives. As we finish this journey and go on to another, we hope to do some good for others and live out my life verse:

Today we travelled from El Paso to Odessa. The scenery changed from desert with mountains on most sides to plains with nothing as far as you could see. We eventually started seeing the oil derricks which let us know we were definitely in Texas. We stopped and had a look at the Meteor Crater at Odessa, where of all things I met an Australian Cattle dog called Roxy. Her master told me she was the best dog he had ever had. Uz tam skoro budeme! Nase auticko si zaclo stezovat na potrebnou vymenu oleje. Nepomohl ani nakup oleje na pumpe a tak musine v Dallasu na letiste pro vymenu. Bohuzel nemaji to nase puvodni a tak bereme o generaci starsi model. Dale byly na vyber same obri dodavky, aneb Everything is bigger in Texas. I'm back in Odessa, Texas, to let Legacy HD fix the leak they fixed last week. 420 miles on I-20. Joy. I decided to stay at the same hotel I stayed at last week. It's a dump, but it's a clean dump. Plus it has a lounge, which is where I'm sitting right now.

Another Afternoon At Service

I actually had a decent rest last night in my tent at the Shell station. I woke at 06:00, got some coffee and breakfast, packed up, and rolled by 07:00.

Watching the sunrise while riding a motorcycle has become one of the most enjoyable part of my days. Sunsets on the warm beach with a cold beer are better, but I digress 😉.

Anyway, I checked off three more MCGTTX stops before heading to the Odessa HD, where I hoped to have my 140,000-mile service done and get a leak fixed. Long story short: They were able to fix me today. Yippee! Also, the dealership in Monroe, LA, who recently replaced my belt and pulley paid $150 to fix the leak that was coming from the crankcase. Yippee again!

After a free Chick-fil-A salad, five hours of waiting, and $500 out of my own pocket, I had Willie back and decently cleaned. But when I went outside, the sky was rolling with clouds. Instead of riding in the rain while both the sun and the temperature dropped, I decided to grab a hotel for the night. Luckily, I found a Travelodge for barely over $50. Yippee! Pretty good day.

Oh! And I got to see the new Low Rider ST El Diablo in person today! There are only 1500 😱. The photos don't do it justice. Absolutely gorgeous!!!! I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ this bike!!!
