STP and beyond

The bus to Seattle got stuck in the usual inexplicable Tacoma traffic, and then the driver was super confused by the UW campus so only dropped us off after two meandering loops through campus. Ready to be done with motor vehicle travel, we trudged up the hill with our bags to the dorm to check in. Turned out that we got a lovely triple on the 5th floor of Willow Hall. Very excited to share with only one roommate (Cliff) and that it came with an en-suite bathroom. The rest of the afternoon/evening was a bit laborious—had to go locate the truck with our bikes, trekked to the fancy shopping center for a very late lunch (excellent sushi at Bamboo and delicious vegan ice cream at Frankie & Jo’s), back up the hill to prep and chill a bit, down the hill to drop off one of our bags early, and then back up the hill to finish prepping and get some sleep. All in all almost 18k steps on a day it would have been nice to rest our legs 🤷🏻‍♀️ Czytaj więcej
