We stayed at the Bush Oasis Caravan Park which is a park for over 50s so no swimming in the pool for the kids. Happy hour was huge with live entertainment and a visit from Councillor Ryder. TheLue lisää
Today we travelled to Charters Towers. Was a pretty short trip. The change of scenery from the coast to the outback had commenced. We stopped at the Burdekin River at the Macrossan Bridge marker. HereLue lisää

Today we took the kids to miners cottage to teach them how to pan for gold. We had a walk around town and headed to the next park. There are so many beautiful old buildings. Interesting to know thatLue lisää

Today we arrived in Hughenden and went straight to the Flinders Discovery Centre to see the Muttaburrasaurus and other fossils. We found out their theory on how Porcupine Gorge was formed and saw someLue lisää
Today we drove out to Porcupine Gorge. We trekked 1.2km down into the gorge where we explored and enjoyed the serenity of the magnificent sights. We explored the caves and the rock pools and sat onLue lisää
On the way back from Porcupine Gorge we stopped at the oldest Coolibah tree. This tree has immense historical importance as it is linked to two relief expeditions searching for Burke and Wills and ledLue lisää
