Despite our toilet problems, we adventured ourselves out and visited Caen’s castle and the church of St Pierre. We then went for a walk in the city centre and we visited the Abbey of the men.
I’m the afternoon we went to the Memorial of Caen, one of the complete/ best museums about WWII, including all the detailed info about the D-Day.
Our next stop is Bayeux, little town next to the D-Day beaches.
We wandered through its little medieval streets and we visited the old Tapestry that describes the conquer of England by king William ofLeer más
We then went to the British Cemetery, where there’s over 1500 British soldiers that died in France in the war, together with other allies soldiers.

Omaha beach is one of the beaches of the D-Day. Now it’s full of monuments to the heroes and soldiers that gave their life for Frances’s liberation. US, Canadian and British forces fought againstLeer más
Pointe du Hoc is another strategic point of the D-Day. From here the US rangers climbed the cliffs while being attacked in order to take this important defensive place.

Next stop in our trip was Le Mont Saint Michel. The abbey is built on a rock that’s connected to the main land with a bridge. It’s a UNESCO site and one of the most visited places in France.

A few hours ahead to get chez Papi et Mamie, but… after over 4h of Road we had to take a little 1.5h detour to go and pick up the wine for the party… that ended up being mostly all our things!!
