Never heard of Holker House, but it looks beautiful, a good find! Newby Bridge brings back memories......I was a child when we were in the caravan in an horrendous storm there, We had to paddle to get to the loo (would you believe we had a toilet tent!!) and a tractor was getting vans off the site before they floated away! Luckily the Rover was parked on hard ground at the top of the field, so saved! [Fiona]

After a very cold night we wake to lovely sunshine, and hit the road A6 in this case and we travel to Grange-Over-Sands. The wind has dropped right away today so our walk along the prom is a lot moreЧитать далее
I always look forward to less wind!!! That sky looks full of rain, so good job you missed it and could walk. Butchers sounds amazing and some very nice meals in store for you, a good find. Shame train wasn't running, but park looks nice, so your stroll there would be nice. [Fiona]

Hazy Lazy Days and Holidays

Well today is our last full day here and we're having a lazy one.
After finally getting out of our very comfortable bed, 8 night's of uninterrupted sleep for more hours than I'd like to say, we have aЧитать далее
Cannot believe you found a micro brewery on your last day!! But make the most of the beer, the Indian (Mark says it looks good) and the sun before you head back to blitey as you'll need your thermals and boots here!! It's not as cold as it has been (-6 Tuesday in the car!!) but still chilly, so wrap up.......you'll feel it after the lovely sunshine!! Have a safe journey home a day we'll see you Tuesday xx [Fiona]

Today we're taking the car to Xàbia a coastal town to the North of Altea.

After lunch we moved on to Guadalest which is a very small village in the hills with a museum and castle. Apparently only about 200 people live there but in the height of the summer have thousands ofЧитать далее

Just goes to show that Benidorm area is lovely (out of season) would never have thought it was so nice with all these little towns and coastal views. Wouldn't like the hot summer and crowds, but this trip is great!! Food for thought [Fi]
