    Boat to Blue Lagoon

    June 27, 2022 in Fiji ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Early wake up in the President's hotel.. got the taxi to port Denarau.. had the cup of mi goreng for breakfast..
Had a good boat ride to the islands.. saw some amazing islands and made the most of the captain's lounge getting free snacks and drinks. Had plenty of Fiji gold which is based on xxxx gold and had a Fiji bitter which is based off VB.

Arrived in Blue Lagoon had had the staff sing to us as we arrived which is very cool. Unfortunately we won't be able to see the caves which is a bit of a disappointment but we can always make the most of it with hiking and the other islands.

We went for a snorkel today.. I broke my strap almost straight away and had to hold my snorkel to my face.. Melissa let me use hers as well.. saw lots of cool fish like a mini sword fish and weird sea cucumber things

The beach is very nice.. lunch and dinner were great and filling but annoyingly we had to wait for hours for dinner because we were meant to book.. seemed ridiculous that we would have to do that but anyways..
Happy hour wasnt that much cheaper than normal prices but whatever.. it's cash only so hopefully we brought enough to pay the bill at the end omg

    Nadi

    June 26, 2022 in Fiji ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

    Airport and flight was hell

    Came into Nadi
    Stayed at the President's motel
Had Kava for the first time with a vendor who sold us a turtle bowl and Melissa.
Saw the Hindu temple from the outside
Went to the supermarket and got some juice...
Sadly the fruit market was closed
Had a margarita at the local restaurant with a nice grilled fish and salad as well as a chicken Hawaiian pizza which was nice as well

Overall Nadi is nice.. there are not a lot of people.. lots of vendors trying to sell you things but not heaps seems to be happening here.. It seems like Covid scared away a lot of tourists and the people are more desperate .. very keen to visit the islands tomorrow.. hit the beach and relax a bit
