Spent the day travelling through Lakefield National Park. Another interesting place where the countryside went from quite dry and flat to green and lush.vwe spent the night at Old Faithful campsite atWeiterlesen
The next night we stayed beside a beautiful river just out of Coen. The locals assured us there were no crocs so we enjoyed a swim. Unfortunately this is the only photo I took to mark the occasion!

The next day we set off on the 30km Frenchmans Track to Lockhart River. Some beautiful and varied country. Lots of things in flower. At the end of the track is the Pascoe a deep, fast flowing riverWeiterlesen
Started the Frenchmans Track from the PDR to get over to Lockhart River in the Ironranges National Park. Found this great campsite that the Weipa locals like to go to.
The kids had lots of fun playing water games, (no swimming here tho!), doing long jump comps and playing chasey. Claire decided she wanted to sleep out under the stars and set about making a bed withWeiterlesen
