- meet for paddle boat ride & then sundowners. Turned into a bit of a debacle as we drove for 1+ hours to other side of lake & up a steep winding mountain road (surprise surprise) and then a walk cross country & down steep stairs, as a storm was approaching 😳 Many people not impressed!
We got to The Hidden Camp, which was very impressive. Food was great but everyone was worried about how we were getting back. It ended up that we got a boat across the lake - in the dark! Took 2 trips.
Gools, Thommo & Bipin were very embarrassed about it, so offered for us to have free drinks & food, back at the hotel bar!!Leia mais

Day 13 - Jomsong to Thasang

- Depart Jomsom; have a last look at Mountains from rooftop. It was clear but not as cold as yday morning
- Drive, then walk across a suspension bridge. Plan was to walk to Titi lake - a 1 hour walk. Took 3 hours 20 minutes, through fields planted with potatoes (aloo), up steep steps & on a road!! Then it started to rain. We went into a coffee shop, then G & T insisted that the cars find a way to get to us & pick us up. It was a scary drive back to the main road - muddy, narrow, steep & across the river.Leia mais

- Drive on horror road. I took a valium, put my headphones on & closed my eyes.

- relaxing morning
- walk to lake & shops
- With group- paddle boat on Lake
- drive 1+ hours around the lake, up a steep, winding mountain road, walk through paddock & down steep rock stairs, with a storm approaching, to a luxury venue!! Lots of people not happy.
- get a boat back across lake in the dark

Day 17 - End of Tour

- Flight over Mt Everest & Himalayas .. Just stunning! And the flight attendants gave us a map, and came & told us each, individually, which moutain peak we were flying past. Incredible experience.
- Filling in the day at the incredible Dwarika hotel. Staff were wonderful to us, as we sat in a day bed by the pool, ordered foods, then had use of a room in the afternoon, to freshen up.
- We ventured into the chaos that was Kathmandu Airport, and boarded our flight to Singapore. We were happy to be getting off the flight in Singapore and not be continuting to Sydney.Leia mais

- Arrived at 6.30am at the beautiful Changi airport 💗 Such a contrast to Kathmandu airport- no crowds, orderly, clean & spacious
- Got a taxi to our hotel. Not much traffic as it was early
- We were super grateful when they (Alfonso - what an angel 😀) said he could check us into a room!!
We were in our room just after 7, and went to bed. We had a wonderful sleep for 3 hours!
- We had a walk around our local area - good location next to Satay St, Lau Au Sat food hall & near Marina Bay.
A first 😂 I knew the direction back to our hotel despite Michael arguing it was the opposite direction!!
- We had a swim in the pool ❣️ canapes & cocktails ❣️ and dinner at Lau au sat - so many choices!Leia mais
