Coral Bay ist ein winziger Küstenort am Ningaloo Marine Park. Hier hat man auch direkten Zugang über den Strand zum Korallenriff, was wir direkt zum schnorcheln genutzt haben. Viele Orte an der Küste sind nur mit einem Geländewagen erreichbar, deshalb haben wir uns gedacht, machen wir doch mal eine Quadtour. So sind wir jeder mit einem Quad direkt am Strand und die Sanddünen bis zum Five Fingers Reef gefahren und konnten von den Klippen aus Schildkröten beobachten.

Am nächsten Tag sind wir an die Küste zum Point Quobba gefahren, ca. 60 km entfernt von Carnavon. Hier gab es nochmal eine wunderschöne Lagune zum Schnorcheln, wo man sich wie in einem Aquarium gefühlt hat. Sehr sehenswert waren dort auch die bis zu 20 m hohen Wasserfontänen der Blow Holes, welche wir uns bei Sonnenuntergang angesehen haben.

In Carnavon gab es nicht wirklich viel sehenswertes, außer das Space and Technology Museum, wo wir einmal zum Mond und zurück geflogen sind.

Coral Bay is a tiny coastal place at the Ningaloo Marine Park. Here you have also the direct access to the coral reef from the beach, what we used straight for snorkeling. Lots of places at the coast are only accessible via a 4WD, that's why we thought just to make a quad tour. So we drove everyone with a quad at the beach and over the sand dunes to the Five Fingers​ Reef and could watch some turtles from the cliffs.

The next day we went to Point Quobba at the coast, about 60 km away from Carnavon. Here there was a beautiful lagoon for snorkeling, where you feel like being in an aquarium. Well worth seeing were the up to 20 m high water fountains of the Blow Holes, which we've seen at sunset.

In Carnavon was not much worth visiting, but the Space and Technology Museum, where we've flown to the moon and return.Read more
