🇩🇪 Gelbe Kiwis, grüne Kiwis
Es erwarten mich nur noch eineinhalb Wochen Kiwipflücken, also haben die Kiwiblogs auch bald endlich ein Ende. Trotzdem erzähle ich noch ein bisschen über die Kiwis, denn ansonsten passiert hier momentan auch nicht viel. Gestern haben wir das erste Mal grüne Kiwis gepflückt, diese sind robusteren als die Gelben und daher schneller zu pflücken. Wie sich das auf meine Bezahlung auswirkt, werde ich erst am Montag sehen, bin aber schon gespannt. Nachdem ich in letzter Zeit 10h-Tage gearbeitet habe, habe ich heute Vormittag eine kleine Verschnaufpause. Denn heute Morgen hat es geregnet, und die Kiwis sind zu empfindlich, um sie zu pflücken. Allerdings bekomme ich jede Stunde ein Update, ob es nun endlich losgeht oder nicht. Und so sitze ich hier seit sieben Uhr morgens und warte… Hoffentlich kann ich noch viel arbeiten, bis dann mein letzter Monat in Neuseeland beginnt. Mein erster Punkt wird Hobbiton sein, denn dort mache ich am 18. April eine Tour und schaue mir das Filmset inklusive zweitem Frühstücks an. Danach geht es nach Coromandel und in den Norden, genauere Pläne gibt es noch nicht. Genießt die Fotos von verformten Kiwis, die meine Kollegin Bi und ich gepflückt haben :) Achso und hier habe ich das erste mal Feijoas probiert, die sind auch als Ananas-Guaven oder Guavenbirnen bekannt. Sie sollen nach einer Mischung aus Guave, Ananas und Erdbeere schmecken, für mich schmecken sie nach Seife. Freue mich aber, sie probiert zu haben :)

🇬🇧Yellow Kiwis, green Kiwis
I only have another week and a half of kiwi picking ahead of me, so the kiwi blogs will finally come to an end soon. Nevertheless, I'll still tell you a bit about the kiwis, because otherwise not much is happening here at the moment. Yesterday we picked green kiwis for the first time; these are hardier than the yellow ones and therefore quicker to pick. I'll only see how this affects my payment on Monday, but I'm already curious. After working 10-hour days lately, I took a little breather this morning. Because it rained this morning, and the kiwis are too delicate to pick. However, I get an update every hour on whether it's finally starting or not. And so I've been sitting here since seven in the morning, waiting... Hopefully, I can still work a lot until my last month in New Zealand begins. My first stop will be Hobbiton, as I'm taking a tour there on April 18th and checking out the film set including second breakfast. After that, I'll head to Coromandel and the north; there are no detailed plans yet. Enjoy the photos of misshapen kiwis that my colleague Bi and I picked :) Also, I tried feijoas for the first time, they are also known as pineapple guavas or guava pears. They're said to taste like a mix of guava, pineapple, and strawberry, but to me, they taste like soap. Still glad to have tried them :)Read more
