One night in the pretty cabins by a little fishing pond became two...
After a great dinner I couldn't help but to strip the bike to try to find the fuel leak. Wasn't too hard to find, turns out it wasn't anything to do with my dropping the bike, it was just a flaw in the plastic tank moulding. So decided to put the bike back together and ride into the next village to try to buy super glue and bicarb to fix it. Found a hardware shop that suggested another glue, so bought both.
Back to the cabin, bike apart again and empty the fuel to start the repair. Super glue turned out to be less than super, but the other glue seemed to work. Was hard concentrating with loads of kittens everywhere and a dog that put his nose everywhere!

Finally rebuilt the bike and was offered a couple of fish for dinner. Hadn't eaten all day so was very welcome.

Early night and cross fingers no petrol leaks in the morning.

Sun up...I'm out and....it's dripping petrol worse than before! I'm pretty dejected...but then accept I just have to fix it or I'll not get home. So strip the bike down again and I realise I have another different leak, but easily fixed. So get that done quick, bike back together, no leaks and I'm gearing up and setting off again.

Really thought that was the end of the trip, but can't give up that easily.Read more
