Upon arriving in Copenhagen, we made our way to the Scandic Spectrum hotel. Impressively spacious and welcoming, the hotel provided a swift and seamless check-in experience, allowing us to quickly settle into our room. Eager to immerse ourselves in the local scene, we ventured out without delay, despite the weather not being particularly cooperative. The afternoon greeted us with a brisk wind, which persisted as we explored. By evening, a light rain had set in, leaving us somewhat soaked by the time we sought refuge in a cozy burger spot. Remarkably, by the day's end, we had covered an extensive area around the hotel, tallying up to 16,000 steps in our exploratory endeavors.Læs mere
Our morning commenced with an adequate breakfast at the hotel before we made our way to the conveniently located bus stop just across the street—a welcome change from my usual experiences of searching for such stops. The day was cloudy, yet fortunately, we were spared from rain, making our sightseeing journey on the hop-on hop-off bus quite pleasant. Our tour included all the main attractions, with a mandatory stop at Nyhavn to admire the vibrant buildings. Our day concluded on a high note at an Irish karaoke pub, which proved to be an immensely enjoyable end to our evening.Læs mere
We began our day at a charming bakery, where despite a long line, we quickly got served and found a place to sit. Next, we visited Freetown Christiania, a unique area in Copenhagen known for its colorful, graffiti-covered buildings and relaxed rules, where marijuana is openly sold. We then went to the Church of Our Saviour and climbed its 400-step spiral staircase, taking about 10-15 minutes to reach the top for a stunning view. After walking 20,000 steps, we returned to our hotel in the afternoon for some rest, then ended our day exploring nearby Christmas markets.
The next day we had breakfast at our hotel again and we then packed our things and headed to the airport around noon.Læs mere
