      Ausflüge nach Alaçatı

      Gestern und heute haben wir uns die Umgebung angeschaut. Unser Hotel ist am Hafen. In die Stadt sind es etwa 9 km. Einmal pro Stunde fährt ein Minibus. Das Ticket kostet 15 Lira pro Person (ein Euro). Man bezahlt am Schluss der Fahrt, so weiss der Chauffeur wie viel zu bezahlen ist. Es scheint keine fixen Haltestellen zu geben, man steht einfach an die Strasse und winkt wenn man mitfahren möchte. Wenn man einmal in der Stadt Alaçatı ist kann man alle paar Minuten mit einem anderen Mini Bus an den grossen Strand oder nach Çešme fahren, von dort legt zweimal am Tag ein Schnellboot nach 🇬🇷 Griechenland zur Insel Chios ab.       Eine Mischung aus Erbrochenem, Kot und Schweiss macht sich im Nachtbus nach Izmir breit. Dazu bis weit nach Mitternacht ein Geschrei und Herumgeturne der beiden Kleinkinder die Reihe hinter uns, welche auch grösstenteils schuld sind am feinen Duft im Bus. Als wir dann endlich mal etwas die Augen schliessen können, ertönt kurz nach 5 Uhr ein Wecker eines Businsassen, der schläft jedoch munter weiter und merkt erst nach 10 Minuten, dass es sein Wecker ist. Eine alles andere als angenehme Nachtbusfahrt nach Izmir. Dementsprechend gerädert kommen wir um 7.00 Uhr in der 3. grössten Stadt des Landes an. Izmir lassen wir aber links liegen und nehmen direkt einen weiteren Bus auf die Çeşme Halbinsel. 3 Tage verbringen wir zuerst in der schmucken kleinen Hafenstadt Çesme, chillen am Pool und an den schönen Stränden der Halbinsel und gönnen uns etwas „Ferien vom Reisen“ 😉. Nach 3 Tagen ziehen wir die paar Kilometer weiter nach Alaçati, einem kleinen Ort mit zauberhaften Gässchen und vorwiegend einheimischen Touristen. Wir haben wieder mal Glück (wie fast immer) und finden ein super gemütliches Boutique Hotel mit 7 Gästezimmern zum Schnäppchenpreis. Vom zwar nur 8 qm grossen Zimmer (reicht uns aber völlig) laufen wir keine 3 Meter zum Pool und das leckere Frühstück wird jeden morgen auf der Terrasse zwischen Pool und Zimmer serviert. Auch vom Ort sind wir entzückt, nicht umsonst gilt der Ort als Hotspot der hiesigen Influencer. Dementsprechend sind aber auch die Preise höher als an anderen Orten. Der schöne Stadtstrand liegt eine kurze Dolmus-Fahrt (Minibusse) entfernt und ist besonders bei Windsurfern beliebt. An diesen Tagen ist der Wind am Strand jedoch so stark, dass ein angenehmes Sonnenbaden kaum möglich ist. Unsere leichten Reisebadetücher sind ideal zum Reisen da leicht und platzsparend, aber bei starkem Wind haben diese halt auch seine Nachteile 😉. Czytaj więcej

      Einkauf

      Durch Zufall habe ich heute im Ausverkauf einen Ofen gekauft. Bin soooo happy . Für 100 Euro. Für meine outdoor küche, jetzt muss ich mein Auto um räumen Und Platz schaffen. Morgen früh holen wir ihn ab und dann geht es auch weiter. Haben ja heute noch die Gegend besichtigt Czytaj więcej

      Beaux imprévus et premiers pas turcs 🇹

      Après une nuit très agitée (voir traumatisante) dans le ferry on arrive à l’île de Chios où devait nous attendre un autre ferry nous amenant en terre turque, à Tchesmé. C’était sans compter la fermeture de la billetterie, le bateau de 8h étant rempli. On doit donc attendre celui de 17h et quoi de mieux pour cela qu’explorer en peu cette île qui ne devait être que de passage.

      Il s’est avéré que celle-ci est très jolie. Après un café on passe d’abord par les moulins bordant la mer dans la ville côtière, accompagnés de nos 3 amies françaises rencontrées dans le ferry, puis on fait quelques kilomètres jusqu’à une petite crique (repérée par mes soins 😇). C’est super beau et on s’y installe pour la journée, avec baignades, jeux et musiques. On ne regrette finalement pas notre mésaventure matinale.

      On prend donc ensuite le ferry puis on arrive en Turquie en fin d’aprem. Les premières missions sont de retirer des livres turques et acheter des cartes SIM (indispensables à notre survie). Celà fait, on mange notre premier döner du voyage, puis on se dirige vers un super spot de bivouac en bord de mer repéré par Eliott, non loin de là 🙂

      J88 - Première journée vélo à 5 🤩

      La nuit fût mouvementée, mais on a quand même eu notre grasse matinée 🤩 Après avoir été réveillés par la pluie à 5h car nous avions mis que les moustiquaires des tentes, nous avons été réveillés par la chaleur à 8h. Nous avons donc enlevé la couche imperméable des tentes pour éviter de se retrouver dans un sauna, et fini notre nuit jusqu'à 11h30.

      Nous roulons jusqu'à un petit restaurant où nous avons du mal à nous faire comprendre pour commander à manger mais où on se fait offrir le thé. On continue la journée en roulant sous un soleil de plomb jusqu'à une petite plage en herbe où l'on s'installe tranquillement. Pendant que JB et Eliott vont faire des courses pour le soir, nous nous baignons pour essayer d'éliminer la transpiration de la journée 🥵

      Pour finir la journée, petit programme très sympa: ballon, apéro, salade de tomates et jeu de cartes.       Czytaj więcej

      J89 - en route pour Éphèse

      Au cours de la nuit une anecdote assez marrante a fait rire 4 membres sur 5. En effet un chat voulant marquer son territoire lors de la nuit a fini par uriner sur le visage d'Eliott qui dormait paisiblement dans sa tente.

      Aujourd'hui on roule en direction d'Éphèse, une grosse étape de 85 km nous a permis de bien se rapprocher car nous sommes plus qu'à une quinzaine de kilomètres de cette belle ville accueillant l'une des 7 merveilles du monde antique.

      Le vélo s'est bien passé malgré la chaleur et les attaques vicieuses d'Eliott et Rémi en fin d'étape. Le genou de Dim tient toujours la route on croise les doigts pour que ça continue comme ça.

      Le spot de bivouac du soir est parfait sur le papier, une petite plage paradisiaque. On est vite redescendu sur terre quand des légions de moustiques ont commencé à nous attaquer et que le sable s'est infiltré dans toutes nos affaires sans compter l'humidité marine. Mais ce n'est pas grave on a quand même pu se baigner un coup et jouer au foot, demain on arrive à Éphèse.       Czytaj więcej

      J90 - Ephèse

      Aujourd'hui, peu de kilomètres à vélo pour admirer le site antique d'Éphèse.

      Ce matin, nous quittons notre emplacement de plage devenu infernal : chaleur étouffante au réveil dans la tente, sable partout, sel de mer sur la peau, moustiques, et une grande soif.

      Sur la route, nous trouvons un endroit parfait : une fontaine près d'un arrêt de bus. Idéal pour boire, se doucher et faire un peu de lessive.

      Nous arrivons à Éphèse, l'une des cités les plus puissantes de la mer Égée. D'abord grecque puis romaine, cette cité comptait 200 000 habitants et a accueilli des figures célèbres telles que Cléopâtre et la Vierge Marie. Éphèse abritait l'une des sept merveilles du monde antique : le temple d'Artémis. Il n'en reste aujourd'hui qu'une seule colonne. Avec la pyramide de Khéops, c'est l'une des rares merveilles antiques encore visibles.

      La visite de la ville nous plonge dans la vie quotidienne des Romains : théâtre, thermes, latrines, odéon, bibliothèque, etc. Leur ingéniosité nous impressionne : éclairage public, fontaines, égouts, architecture, etc.

      Nous terminons cette belle journée d'histoire par 10 km de montée pour rejoindre notre bivouac dans un bosquet. En bonus, une superbe douche sauvage avec l'eau du village.       Czytaj więcej

      Dieser Ort hat mich im Herzen ❤️ berührt. Ruhig , friedlich, eine hohe und feine Schwingung, oben auf dem Berg inmitten saftiger Wälder und feinster Luft .
      Laut Überlieferung hat Meryamana (Mutter Maria) hier ihre letzten Lebensjahre verbracht und ist hier auch gestorben.

      1. Day Izmir

      Izmir is a city of millions and at least 4.2 million people live in the city on the Aegean Sea.

      The city is known for its Mediterranean flair and liberal attitude towards life.

      Izmir was called Smyrna in ancient times and is not far from Ephesus (Turkish: Efes), Pamukkale and Pergamon (Turkish: Bergema). Izmir was built by the Greeks, taken over by the Romans, rebuilt by Alexander the Great until it fell under Ottoman rule in the 15th century.

      On our tour through Turkey, we really wanted to stop here to get to know the country and its people.

      To the details. At Izmir airport we took the train to Halil station, then the metro M1 in the direction of Fahrettin Altay to Hatay station, which is close to our accommodation.

      After resting for a few hours, we decided to go to the Alsancak restaurant and bar district and actually just eat something. We came across a restaurant called Inadina Mehane, which is known for good food, raki and live music. It was a lively evening with people partying and drinking like there was no tomorrow.       2. Day Izmir (Ephesos Trip) I

      On day 2 and our trip to Izmir, we decided to do something historical. We went to Ephesus. Also called Efes in Turkey, which explains the beer of the same name, as it is brewed in Izmir. Efes is an ancient Greek ruined city and had its peak at the time of the Romans, when it had about 200,000 inhabitants. In ancient times, it was one of the oldest, largest and most important cities in Asia Minor and was home to the Temple of Artemis (Artemision), one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In antiquity, the city was situated directly on the sea; due to sedimentation and climatic and seismic changes, the coastline shifted westwards over time, so that today the remains of the city are several kilometres inland. It was a trading city and its port helped it to achieve great wealth, where it initially held its own against cities such as Smyrna (now Izmir).

      Ephesus is also significant in connection with the development of Christianity: barely 20 years after Jesus' ministry, his teachings had reached Ephesus on the west coast of Asia Minor through Apollos. The community of Ephesus was thus one of the oldest Christian communities ever.

      In 431, the 3rd Ecumenical Council, also called the Council of Ephesus, convened by Emperor Theodosius II, met in Ephesus.

      In the 14th century, the city fell to the Turks. The last records of Efes end in 1425.

      About the ride. We took the metro to Halkapinar and got off at Alsancak. There we had to go to the station to reach Izban. In Izmir, the metro is called Izmetro and the train connections Izban.

      At Alsancak Gar station we got on the train to Tepeköy and had to get to the terminus. In Tepeköy we had to change trains and take the train to Selcuk. Not far from the station in Selcuk there were small shuttle buses to Efes. All in all, the trip took 2 hours and about 30 Lt, which is the equivalent of 2-3 € today.       Czytaj więcej
