Wait till you get further north, a visit to the local chippy takes on another dimension, thousands of fish types to choose from, they will want to put curry sauce on it, and good idea to turn down the final offer -"do you want batter?", which means they will scoop all the floating leftovers from the boiling oil, and sprinkle it on top, apparently a delicacy up north,!!

Viajante Wow what a day, the weather is certainly a tricky thing to deal with. I don't normally choose to ride in the rain but when I'm on the bike tours in Holland/ Cotswold and it's raining I will have no choice but to ride 😖 so if it's raining I'll remind myself that you still went out in the rain

That’s a grey one. Introduced species from North America. It is both invasive and lethal to the native red squirrel population sadly. They carry a squirrel pox which is almost 100% deadly to the native reds. Various squirrel groups are actively trying to exterminate the greys. If you look in butcher shop windows you will even see them available for sale with a warning about watching out for shot pellets…I kid you not!
