Finished our first day of walking, another 8 kilometers. Just a bit longer than we expected, but no big deal.
Back at the Refuge for the rest of today!
It was a very cold night here last night, but it is a beautiful morning with the sun shining creating mist over the mountains. The first group of walkers are heading out. Goodbye Orisson!
We have made it to the top of the Pyrenees!

All down hill now to our stop tonight in Burgette!

Today was a hard day for me. My pack is 19 lbs and this is the first time I carried it up to the top of the Pyrenees Ridge and then down a very steep descent. Between the rapid descent and "old knees"Meer informatie
We made it to Roncevalle, down in the valley. The steep descent was exhausting.

After a long break in Roncevalles, we shuffled our way along a flat, shady trail to Burguete
