Found this gem on my route. Can’t tell you how good this felt to soak in after 4 days in the road.
I just can’t get over these drives. The mountains and canyons are unreal. These rocks were formed 400 million years ago! Also had a nice walk around a lake at 8000 elevation.
One more hike in the area and ran across some cows in the road fighting. Not something I see every day. Also gas is $3.29 over here!!
Very interesting monument over 50 million years old. Camped overnight with a sunset and views. Also a field full of prairie dogs; so cute.
Took the scenic route recommended by the forest ranger through the tail end of Wyoming and into South Dakota. Passed by a historic building built early 1800s then the “center of the nation”. TheLæs mere
This attraction was just kinda meh for me. Maybe when it is finished it will be more impressive. They charge to enter and then they also charge a bus fee to get closer.
This park is very cool. They have these cathedral rocks and they are just spectacular. Did a 4 mile hike here and is it is my favorite so far. Just the drive is so cool. You drive right next to theseLæs mere
2nd day driving through the park and saw lots of wildlife! A heard of bison, antelope, prairie dogs and wild (?) donkeys. They really liked carrots. Then through another windy road with tunnels andLæs mere
Pretty impressive site. It is hard to compete with the 50-500 million year old rock formations I have been seeing. Still a site I needed to see. No dogs allowed so had a quick view and on to the next.
