Dungeon of the dragon's hoard

Did another group lesson this morning, I was the only one so got a private lesson which was good. Just kept practicing turning with pressure on my outer ski. Bought some new goggles. Have been spending alot. They are pretty good though, going to take good care of them.
Hosted games night this time. Will has created his own game which is a combination of dungeons and dragons and some other one he likes. It was pretty good.もっと詳しく

Spa Day

I met up with Pheobee the French girl who I'm going to do a bit of touring with. She was very nice, good skier too. Then I went with Nat and Will, will is pretty good, Nat is finding her legs again and I did another class with Vic. Worked on body positioning, getting more movement in my hips.
Then we had a spa on white foot, that was good because it was outside.
Going to create a D&D character. Thinking a female magic user, maybe an elf. Going to call her Diana Boldon, rather than Dianabol Don.
Legs are pretty sore, almost looking forward to working tomorrow.もっと詳しく

Bon Fire Night

I was on commons today at work, did a pretty good job.
James and Alex got fired because they were doing lines and drinking in the supervisors office and then slept in there the whole shift.
They figured out we're not working much in Laundry so have cut our shifts a bit.
I got the day off tomorrow now which is pretty good because the new lifts open tomorrow.
Went to dance after work and then to the bon fire to watch the fireworks. Went back to Vics place for her birthday and played games.

Light Up Big White

Had the day off today which worked well because new lifts opened up. Meet up with vic for first lifts. Had some fresh snow so there wad a bit of powder. Had a spa at mine after and then went down to chi kis to have another one and watch the fire works. They didn't start till later than we thought so just went and had a walk around and watch the lights. I went back and watched will and may play dungeons and dragons for a bit and then went home for an early night. Made a red curry and watched some archer. Going to have a sleep in tomorrow morning because I had my shift changed top the night shift and I need a bit of a rest because I've been along so hard.もっと詳しく

Rest Day

Turned off my alarm so I could have a sleep in. My room is so good because it has no windows. Slept through till 8, meditated and had breakfast. Had big stretch, watched archer and Brooklyn 99, did some washing, filled my edges, and read up on character development for dungeons and dragons.
Work was actually busy and worked till 11. Got a bunch of free food from the checkouts.もっと詳しく

Had an awesome breakfast with the feta and hummus I got from work. Did a group class with Paula, Scott's girl friend. It w as s good because they're doing level 5 and 6 groups now. Worked on my body positioning and did a pretty big drop off. Good lesson. Met up with Daria for a couple of hours of skiing, shes pretty good for only a weeks snow boarding.
Pushed work out til 11. Had an amazing sunset from the laundry roomもっと詳しく

Another amazing sunset

Came out to the living room this morning with the sun bursting through. Beautiful clear day. Skid all morning and met up with the germans, Tim, Lorien, and Johannas. Going to get them around for a spa and pingpong arvo.
Had work with another amazing sunset. Daria messaged me asking to meditate together which I'm feeling relieved about that she still wants to hang out.
I kind of rushed work then to finish at about 8:30. She didn't end up coming around but is going to come around in the morning.もっと詳しく

Staff Christmas Party

I meditated from 6 till 7 and then Daria came around for eye contact meditation. The idea is to work on not being self conscience. I'd the self is an illusion then the idea of being self conscience is ridiculous. It was a bit weird at the start, but laughing and smiling but we settled down a bit. I really liked it. Helped me think about being self conscience at the staff party tonight and how I dont really need to be at all. No need to impress anyone, I dont need to drink or do drugs to have fun. Made Daria a nice breakfast, I really like just hanging out with her.
I then rushed down to Nats to go touring for the morning. Such a beautiful day, about minus 14 though so pretty cold. Sweating the whole way up but my hands were freezing until I put on my proper gloves.
Myla is such a cool dog. Loves the snow. She was getting a bit cold though so we turned around a bit early. That was kind of lucky because it took longer to get down than we thought because there were so many rocks and stuff.
Nat forgot her poles so I gave her mine on the way down because she didn't feel very confident. It made skiing down pretty hard and I didn't get to enjoy it as much but it was good. Cut up my skis a bunch though because the powder was so soft. Need a more solid base. Beautiful day though.
I did a few repairs, sewed up the holes on my pants and my glove. Pretty happy with the job.
I helped Gareth pick up a couch before the Christmas party.
I ate so much at the Christmas party, it was actually pretty good food. Desserts were amazing.
Danced pretty much the whole time and gave my drink tickets to the germans. Had alot of fun and didn't drink or do drugs which I'm pretty happy about. The more challenges I get through and the longer I go with out it the easier it is getting. Daria is good inspiration for that.
Although I do want to do mushrooms at some point soon. Just want to walk around in the forested snow.
Thinking of asking Daria if she would trip sit for me. Maybe do a sober trip through the nordic trails and get a feeling for the area and then do it again on mushies.
Had a game of pool at Sam's and then got home about 11:30.

Had a bit of sleep in, I think I got up at 7.
Met Vic for a ski about 9 and we did a lesson together. This guy, Matt, said my body positioning was looking good, I just need to have a bit of a wider base when I'm going across the mountain in the turn.
I called it after that and cooked up some pasta because we were meeting at will and Nats yo create our dungeons and dragons characters.
I'm a half-elf druid and I'm pretty happy with all of my stats.
Then we all went to Hip Hop it was just our group there. One week until our first flash mob.very exciting.もっと詳しく

Foosball

I was on commons today. Pretty normal day.
Had the German guys around for a spa. Lorain neatly passed out when we got out of the spa.
We played some foosball and I learnt to always keep my hand on the goalie stick. Shooting on angles and stuff.
Played some shuffle board, I think I won both times.
And pingpong I won most of the too. Just need to get good at foosball.
Got then to go at about 8:30. Meditsted and had tea in bed while I read my book.
Invited Daria around tomorrow night to shave my beard and do some gopro stuff.もっと詳しく

Red Beard no more

Quite day in laundry, helped with housekeeping in the morning.
Daria came around about 6:30 and she cut my beard.
Feels and looks weird having it gone.
Feel like I have a small head.
Made Mexican, she said it's the best meal shes had since shes been here.
And we just looked t gopro videos and talked most of the night.
I really like talking with her.
She said we shouldn't spend time with people that dont make us feel good, or those that actually make us feel bad. We dont need to try and fit in with others. I think shes right, I dont need to try and impress the people at work, just do what ever I like.

Dhamma for days

So much laundry today at work. Just plodded along. Finished harry potter and the philosophers stone audio book.
Krislin came over for an hours sit, it was good to be able to do a vipassana sit with someone. I then took a little meditation class down as t the yoga studio. There was 8 of us. I think it went pretty well, everyone seemed to enjoy it and were asking it to be a regular thing.
Loz had been a Vipassana meditstor for 15 years and lived in an Ashram. So that was a little intimidating but fine.
Lots of people seem interested in doing a Vipassana course which is amazing!

Best morning ski

Got out there nice and early this morning. Gareth said to walk up to the bullet rather than ridge and go down spruce trail or off to the right early for the fresh tracks.
There were loads of people who had already been down but spruce was completely untouched. It was pretty amazing.
There were amazing views from up top too, huge cloud cover just below the village so it looked like you were floating above the clouds, able to the sun hit the other mountains on the horizon.
I got so excited about the snow I forgot to go to the morning lesson I wanted to do in the fresh snow.
Getting more of a hang of skiing in deeper powder.
I went out the top of bullet and climbed a little bit with this dude. There were a few other people out there and they were doing this pretty steep section among the trees. I felt a bit unsure about it but had a go any way.
First turn I went too far across and sort of got my ski caught under something. One of my skis came off and slid down a bit. I had to slide down with one ski to the other carefully so that the sliding snow didn't bury it. Made it down but want to get better at steeps and deep snow.
Had the best morning, hitting jumps and flying over bumps with a softer landing in the nice snow.
I went in for lunch with the intention of going back out but ended up just having the arvo off. It had fogged over too by this point.

I had a bit of an off meditation this morning, and ended up meditating in bed. I'm not sure if there w as s a glitch with the recording or if i just slept through the end chanting but i "meditated" for like and an hour 40. So it was like 8 when i got going. I had to return Corey's shirt that o accidentally took last night. So I thought I'd take my skis down to the repair shop as well to ask some advice on tuning and stuff with the tools I have.
I ended up just getting them to do a proper job. I'm going to be more on top of it now though and do it myself.
So I didn't ski today. Ran a bath and watched westworld season 2. Cooked a red curry. It was a nice relaxing day.
Work was pretty chill, meditated at work too.
It snowed for a bit so I'm pretty keen to get out tomorrow morning with fresh skis and snow!もっと詳しく

Dungeons and Dragons!

Did a morning lesson with Paula again.
Fresh edges felt a little out of control or at least different.
It was just me and another guy. Went down piece of cake and goats kick for the first time. And we went out the back of bullet down the chutes.
Bit crusty so it was hard to turn in the deep snow and and steep slopes.
Keen to get better!
Had our first dungeons and dragons night at mine. It was very slow going as people didn't really know what they were doing yet.

Flash Mob!!

Got up to go skiing and then when I was sitting on the couch with my coffee reading my book got the urge just to have a day doing nothing.
Ended up watching the rest of westworld. I had 8 episodes from will and nat and when I finished the 8th I was like wtf that can't be it. Turns out there were 2 more episodes. It was like a form of torture.
Will ended up downloading them for me so I went and grabbed them.
It was perfect timing because then I had to head down to the primary school to do our first flash mob.
There were 9 of us in total, pretty much just our group.
It was cool, just little kids. It looked good in the black light with glow sticks on our wrists.

Shit shirt party

Had work until 4, I did a bit of commons.
Krislin came over for a sit at 4:30 which was nice.
Then I watched limitless until about 9 when Daria and I headed over to Corey's for his house party.
I was really glad she came. Bit moral support.
It wasn't her thing but she enjoyed the experience, seeing that sort of stuff.
We went to a random house first which ended up being one of Daria's friends weirdly. Baue and Renee were there, I like them.
Got to Corey's about 10:30 it was still pretty dead. First thing Daria saw was a guy with big plate racking up and kicking her cards. She was like what's he sniffing? And whys he licking that? So innocent haha.
We hung around for a bit and then headed off. Shuttle had stopped running so we walked back. I always like talking with Daria.
She asked if I'd turn back time and not go. I said I got a lot out of that because I ws a by it anxious about going. But couldn't really explain what I'd learnt.
I think it was that before i hand I thought I would feel pressured to get on it and now i think i could go and not want too. Looking at it through her eyes and see it as alot of people fucked up and not themselves. I still think certain drugs can be used in away to have a positive experience.
Now that I know I can go and it would be fine, I'd have an ok time. Now i know I'd probably rather be doing something else and I'm not missing out on much.

Beauty Meditation

Busy day in the laundry, but still chill.
Went tuning after work with the dnd gang. That was pretty fun. Got waffles and pizza dow at happy valley which was crazy cheap for what you get.
We were a little late to meditation and it kinda snuck up on me so I was a little flustered, but it went well.
Introduced being aware of the pain or discomfort.
This weeks "home work" was s to view things with fresh eyes and try and see the beauty in all things.

Day 1 of Yoga

Decided to start doing yoga every day. Yoga with Adrien is a series on YouTube and she does a 30 day pragram and then she has heaps of others too. So I meditated in the morning and then did my yoga.
Skiing today was alright, few rocks getting exposed.
Worked in laundry till 11 tonight and hadn't done my evening meditation. Only did 45 mins because it was midnight and there was good snow so I wanted to make sure I skied tomorrow. This is the first day in a while now i haven't made my 2 hours. But I'm ok with that.もっと詳しく

Morning meditation was a bit off again.
Amazing snow this morning! I did a level 6 lesson and did more steep stuff in powder. I skid really well and had a great morning.
Did Easter chutes and the chutes out the back of bullet. Really nice skiing.
Had lunch, meditated before work just in case I would have to work late again.

A day with Will

Will knocked on my door after snow shoveling so we went skiing for the morning. Good to hang out with just him. We're going to do mushrooms together which is cool. I did the cliff for the first time before going in for lunch. Fuck it was a good run! Cool to have the snow falling behind me, nice big turns and really steep. Felt good.
Didn't end up going out again in the arvo, fixed up my dnd character. Will came over and did an hour sit with me and then we watched mountain and played some cards. I really like him, great guy.もっと詳しく

Had the morning off skiing. Meditated and done yoga, and watched some Netflix and looked at my spells for dnd.
We headed down to kelowna at about 1. Picked up my groceries and camping fuel which was good.
Then we went to Tokyo 1 for the all you can eat lunch special. Lunch finished at 3:30 and last orders had to be in by 3:45. We got there at 3:15 so essentially had to order everything at once so we had to guess how much we could eat. Anything you dont eat you have to pay for on top. But also wanted to eat as much as we could.
The food was all really good. We ate ALOT! We ended up cancelling a few dishes which was lucky because I don't think we would have made it. I got a Pepsi after when we went to value village hoping it would help my burp. Oh God it made it so much worse, I was in alot of pain.
I got a yoga mat from value village which was a good by.
Made it home and managed to burp when we got back to big white which helped alot.
Watched a bit of limitless and managed to meditate which I was surprised about.
We didn't end up going climbing because we felt to sick from how much we ate so I'll have to go another time.もっと詳しく

Had commons duties today. Worked on being present while vacuuming, not feeling like "this sucks because I cant listen with headphones", but just doing a good job and accepting it.
Went straight from work to do a group sit with krislin. Then I went straight down to happy valley to go snow shoeing. Today is the winter solstice and a full moon. Apparently they won't coincide again until 2094. I didn't actually use snow shoes. It was a really beautiful walk through the tall tree covered in snow. The lighting was amazing. Really glad I went because I was considering not because it was getting late and i needed to cook food etc.
Then i got a waffle and a slice of pizza at happy valley. Ran into tracy, and then we went up to will and bats to get ready to sing for Andy's 30th birthday.

Cruisy day at work.
After work Daria came around so I could help her update her dnd character. She really doesn't have much of a clue how it all works.
We went to Vics for dnd. Will made a beautiful cinnamon scroll thing which was vegan. And vic made muffins which were delicious. Its inspired me to get into baking.
Dnd was really fun. We went into the side of the mountain where the meteor had made a big crater. There were four rooms, each had something special about it and we led this big rock fire thing back to its home. People are going to drop out because they aren't that interested which will be good.
