We drove 45 min to Tivoli and visited villa of the 16th century cardinal. The building is a bit sparse but the gardens with the fountains were stunning. We stayed in B&B with the building that datesЧитать далее

In the morning we had a great 3 hr private tour with an Airbnb experience guide. Matera is one of the oldest settlements in the porous caves and the city has many layers of history, and many churchesЧитать далее
In the afternoon we took a tour with two Paleolithic researchers who drove us to the part of the park that is on private land and showed us many signs of the Stone Age people, such as carved stones.Читать далее

We walked around this beautiful town. It’s been commercialized with souvenir stores in all the trulli but it’s still unbearably beautiful and photogenic!
We drove to nearby Locorotondo which is a sparkling white town on a hill. We walked around and had delicious lunch of steak tartar with burrata and another rendition of oriacheta
We then continued our drive further south and stopped quickly at Ostuni, another sparkling white city, before driving to the heart of Puglia to Lecce.
