July 10, 2022 in the Netherlands ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C6 pm flight out of Chicago O'Hare, arrived at about 11:20 AM on July 10th in Amsterdam Schiphol. Dan drove us to the airport. We got pretty nice meals!

Our Airbnb we stayed at on the second floor with the incredibly steep stairs and about 10 different light switches
Our first meal once we were settled in Amsterdam and we were so tired. The food was great though. There were illustrations on the walls and people from all over speaking all different languages
On our way to Bloemenmarkt we stopped to walk around a church called De Krijtberg. Someone was playing the organ as we walked through.
After eating we walked to Bloemenmarkt which is a bunch of flower stands set up on the water. Tons of bulbs and roots and tons of bees enjoying the flowers.. and we saw some gigantic alliums!

The best breakfast we had! Bakers & Roasters is made by someone from New Zealand. I had the Eggs Florentine and our fruit bowl was amazing.
After eating we walked to the Rijksmuseum. The museum is huge and beautiful. Outside a woman was singing opera (she was still there when we left three hours after!). There were some famous Rembrandt,Read more
After the Rijksmuseum we walked to the Anne Frank House. It was very informative and interesting to see where she and her family really stayed. Some of the original items they had were there.
For dinner we ate at Pazzi which was a pizza restaurant owned and run by actual Italians. It was so good. We also learned that they call argula "rockets".. for some reason.
