Walking around Haeundae - Busan

Hiking, carved granite temples and fish

Took a flight from Busan to Jeju. A little island off the South West coast of South Korea. We needed a break from cities!

Today we explored the south and west of Jeju. Started out with a nearby waterfall.

Up and out quickly to get to the foot of the volcano in the centre of Jeju. There are about 5 different routes to the top, but only 2 which go to the crater. We chose the most common route to theLæs mere
Bye bye South Korea, hello Taiwan

Up at 6 to get to the airport for a 10.30am flight to Taiwan. Reasonably painless drive with only a few junctions of death to contend with.

Today was declared a shopping day

Thank goodness our accommodation was opposite a decathelon so we managed to get all our shopping out of the way in 15mins. I got a compass and some gloves. Hannah nothing. Win win.

Nice leisurely start of 9am. We had breakfast included which was probably the most butter loaded croissant I've ever had, plus a slab of bacon to wash it down with. Heart attack central.

An unexpected theme park

Packed up in our woody Switzerland style chalet on the edge of Sun Moon Lake. Very nice breakfast of mushroom fruit, sausage and boiled egg.

Got on the way for our 3 hour drive at about 10am. We were heading south to get a ferry to the island of Lambai. A small island off the South West coast of Taiwan.
