Little sisters 30th birthday

Arrived in Guernsey to a glass of Champagne for Phoebe's birthday and some freshly caught mackerel. Oooh tsk lovely.

Taipei Night Market

Smells of everything from roasting horse nuts to fried cheese. We sampled some dumplings and some weird noodle slop. One bite tasty next more slop. Very strange.

An evening and day in Fukuoka. From what we saw a fairly sprawling concrete jungle, with large industrial port.

After a lovely birthday (thank you for all the birthday love!) this morning we visited suizenji jojuen, a Japanese garden. It was tranquil and quiet and a lovely place for a stroll.

Made our way to Universal Studios using the underground. Started raining as soon as we got there and never stopped all day. Good test of the coats, both of which need re-waterproofing 😕.

We traveled via the JR train line from Osaka to Kyoto.
Dumped the bags at the hotel and went on a trip advisor based wander.

Took a train West. Walked through some bamboo woods, along a river and round some Japanese gardens.
Finished in the pub to watch Wales Vs South Africa in the rugby. Wales didn't get through 😫
Cycling round Kyoto

Packed up the room and walked to a bike rental place which could store our bags for the day.
Did a cycle tour of some temples including one covered in gold, and one with thousands of shrine arch ways.Læs mere
