    Coffin Bay en Aussie Christmas

    December 27, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

    Coffin Bay

    July 6 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

An off-road drive to the biggest sand dunes in the national park around here ended up a bit too off-road, but the van did just perfect. We had to go back though, and found some other over sized beaches. Even with the autumn-like weather and heavy clouds this place is beautiful.
To top up a good day we finally found an indoor, however very cold, shower - saving us for another one of those freezing attempts to wash off the soap with a bottle of our valuable drinking water.Read more

    Coffin Bay

    October 21, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

Very happy to have 4G coverage at Coffin Bay after the very slow 3G at Elliston made working tedious. Finished off some design work, then checked out the beautiful bays around the area.

Decided to do a tour of an Oyster Farm which turned out to be a great afternoon. Incredible how labour intensive these operations are...no wonder oysters are expensive. Even got a shucking lesson, oyster tasting and of course bought a dozen to take home.

We said our goodbyes to Robert & Karen with an early 50th birthday lunch for Marg at a nice restaurant overlooking the water. We will miss these guys as our travels take us in different directions, but lifelong friendships have been made.

    Coffin Bay, South Australia

    March 13, 2016 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

This is where we found out that although our car claims to be 4x4 that counts for nothing when you are towing a trailer, weighed down with supplies and trying to drive uphill through soft sand on a narrow track. Luckily some 60+ year old men pushed us out and we retreated with no way of reaching the picturesque location our hearts had been set on. The campsite we settled for provided us with deceptively beautiful water that could neither be swam or fished in and our efforts in fishing the surf proved fruitless. The range of ant species kept us amused for the most part.Read more

Kerry digging deep for more Oysters!

    March 14, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

    How do Oysters have sex?
Do they change shells and upgrade?

From the second question through to the 20th about Oysters... I couldn’t keep responding via Google so I (Fryzie) sent Kez on a little tour hoping all her questions will be answered in life.

    Coffin Bay National Park

    March 14, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

A quick check in to see if we could tow BIG MAX, our caravan in... definitely not. Scrub and low trees everywhere. No chance but could stay at Yangi Bay Area at the beginning of the track in. Tomorrow we’re going deeeeeeeep! To Sir Isaac Point.
