    Wandern in den Warrumbungles

    May 14, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

:)Read more

    Warrumbungles National Park

    September 29, 2020 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 12 °C

We arrived at Blackman campsite late afternoon and set up camp in the Warrumbungle National Park. We had awesome views with amazing magma cliff formations (such as the breadknife).

After making friendly with our neighbors, they recommended for us to do the Bread Knife track walk (4-5 hrs return, among australia's best 10 walks). With it forecast to rain, we debated weather to take the challenge or leave it.

We woke up early with a cloudy sky and decided to brave the walk. The walk although VERY STEEP, was very well maintained, with pavements and stairs all the way up... and breathtaking view at the top (even with clouds). Definitely a must do!

    Gilgandera - Brisvegas

    August 26, 2016 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Picking up fourth hombre - Ken. We arrived after a 7 hour drive. Traffic through the blue mountains and Lithgow wasn't great. Stopped at Dunnedoo for a pie.
When we arrived at Gilgandera we filled up Tommy Troupe and got some supplies, as well as paying our respects at the coo-ee march statue. For those of you who don't know Gilgandera is where the coo-eee march.
We arrived at Ken's place where 'friday frenzy' drinks were had , great batter about funny stories of the past and what might happen as we make our way out to birdsville.
A beautful roast lamb was consumed- caryling prepared by our hosts.
The boys were lucky as i introduced them to the legendary drink- pickle barre.

    September 29, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Left Narrabri and headed off to Gilgandra stopping for coffee at Coonabarabran on the way. Country is very dry and no feed and very little stock. Booked into the Rest-a-While Caravan Park and then we walked down to the town centre and bought a few things at the IGA.Read more
