For our last night we did a sunset cruise off Waikiki.
Some snorkling at Hanauma Bay and some lovely fish. Another farmers market visit and our first - and likely last - abalone. Just weird and chewy.
Powerful memorial for all the lives lost. The reminder that we were standing on the final resting place of those soldiers was somber.
Very touristy and hokie, but a Luau for birthday dinner was fun!
Waimea Falls, another beach, a rum distillery... great relaxing day around the island.
Fun fact - the Hard Rock is also 50! 1971 was a great year. Just a little exploring the hotel and Honolulu.
We did an island tour to get around to different areas. From Diamond head to snorkling on the north shore to Dole Pineapple Plantation and a funky shrimp shack.... it was a great day.
With time to kill before our flight to Honolulu, we hit a food truck park, another stunning beach and then the airport.
