Today we have reached an important milestone: Ludo has finally sent his application to Milan´s Human Technopole. Actually... he sent it twice! The first time he was too excited and clicked on the "send" button before attaching the project proposal he has been working on for two weeks...
So, now it´s time to celebrate... with a swim! At 6pm we rush outside and drive down to Kamari beach, the second most famous beach of Santorini. Differently from Perissa, here the town is lovely, with lots of nicely decorated houses in the inner part, while the seafront is dotted with cafés and restaurants. However, the complete lack of tourists lends it a spectral effect... The look and feel must be completely different during normal touristic seasons.
After a short walk along the promenade, Ludo decided to dare into the black water, but his swim doesn't last too long: there is absolutely nobody around us and the seabed drops just a few meters from the foreshore. So, if anything happens, nobody would help him out (considering my amazing swimming capabilities, he doesn't even consider me as a potential rescuer...). 🙄
The timing is actually perfect: by the time Ludo gets out of the waters mimicking the Venus of Botticelli, the sun starts setting... just in time for us to drive uphill and enjoy the show! 🌅📸Read more
