      I'm in Alberobello near Bari Italy
      You see the pointed roofs. They were designed so the owners could pull on a central rope and collapse the building if the tax man was coming. Then rebuild it when he'd gone.
      It's a very picturesque place. I prefer these towns to big cities.
      I had a walk in the afternoon then another this evening. I'm staying in one of the old houses which are called Trulli. I'm in the cellar which is more comfortable than it sounds. I'm staying here tomorrow so I'll post if I find anything interesting.      Read more

      Casa a Trulli in Alberobello

      Als nächstes steuerten wir einen Ort an, der uns mit Abstand am häufigsten empfohlen wurde von Italien-Kennern und Campern, die wir unterwegs trafen. Alberobello bietet tatsächlich ein ganz besonderes Stadtbild mit seinen weißen, runden Häuschen und den kegelförmigen Dächern. Wir fühlten uns wie in einem schicken Schlumpfhausen.       Die Trulli von Alberobello

      Bevor wir unsere Reise entlang der Adria Küste nach Ancona fortsetzen, haben wir noch einen Zwischenstopp in Alberobello vorgesehen.
      Berüchtigt ist dieser Ort für seine Trulli, so nennt man die hauptsächlich in Apulien vorkommenden Rundhäuser, deren Steindächer sich nach oben hin verjüngen und mit einem symbolischen Schlussstein, oft aber auch mit einer Kugel oder einem anderen Symbol, abgeschlossen werden.
      Wir haben eine glückliche Hand, es ist Feiertag in Italien, so dass viele Familien die Gelegenheit nutzen, diesen Ort am verlängerten Wochenende zu besuchen. Eine Zeit lang lassen wir uns von den Menschenmassen treiben, dann fahren wir -eingerahmt von den Abruzzen auf der Westseite und dem Meer auf der Ostseite- Richtung Ancona.      Read more

      Alberobello

      Premier arrêt de la journée dans la ville d'Alberobello, célèbre pour ses Trulli, des maisons à l'architecture spécifique de la région des Pouilles.
      On en voyait déjà un peu partout dans les villes de la vallée d'Itria, mais c'est dans cette ville qu'il y en a le plus (plus de 1000) au même endroit.

      On est arrivé assez tôt, donc on profite des rues qui ne sont pas encore blindée de monde.
      C'est très beau, on prend plein de photos et Flo en profite pour repartir avec quelques souvenirs culinaires 😅.

      Après une petite heure à déambuler, on retourne au parking. Tous payants dans la ville, on a réussi à en trouver un gratuit, près d'un supermarché, donc on en profite pour remplir nos placards avant de répartir 😊.      Read more

      Le Trullo d’Alberobello 🛖

      🏘 On décide de s’éloigner de la côte est pour se diriger vers un magnifique village typique des Pouilles : Alberobello. La particularité de ce village est d'avoir des maisons faites de pierres sèches et un toit en forme de cône couvert de lauses calcaires qu’on appelle les Trulli. Il y en a environ 1500 dans ce village et les premières datent du XVIème siècle. La légende raconte que ces petites maisons permettent d’être démontées rapidement afin de ne pas payer les taxes lors d’un éventuel contrôle.Read more

      Der Ansturm auf den Bus ab Bari ist enorm (wie mag es da im Sommer sein 😱) - ein2. 🚎 kommt und alles geht wieder zügig voran.

      Die Stadt Alberobello ist vor allem durch ihre Kegelbauten (Trulli, Einzahl Trullo) berühmt, die nach dem Vorbild der Bauweise von Hirtenhütten in dieser Gegend gehäuft entstanden (UNESCO Welterbe).
      Auf Sardinien heißen sie Nuraghen, in Südfrankreich Bories.
      Trulli sind zumeist runde, aber auch auf rechteckigem Grundriss errichtete, weiß gestrichene Bauten mit charakteristischen Kegeldächern aus Kalksteinplatten, die ohne Mörtel in Form eines falschen Gewölbes aufeinander geschichtet sind.
      Die Zeichen auf vielen der Trulli sind bis dato nicht verifiziert 🤔
      Alberobello liegt im Valle d‘Itria - 🍇, 🫒, Mandeln + 🍒 Anbau dominieren hier die Landschaft.

      Ich kann mich dem Zauber der Trulli nicht entziehen - zwischen Schön und Kitsch, zwischen echtem Leben und „Theaterkulisse“ angesiedelt: sie sind beeindruckend!      Read more

      Grüße ausm Tri Tra Trulli Land

      Wir haben uns in einen Touri Hotspot gewagt, nach Alberobello.

      Alberobello ist bekannt für die sogenannten "Trulli", weiß getünchte Steinhäuser mit kegelförmigen Bruchsteindächern. Im Stadtviertel "Rione Monti" stehen mehr als 1000 dieser ohne Mörtel erbauten
      Natursteinhäuser. Seit 1996 zählt Alberobello zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO.
      Gebaut wurden sie im 15.-16.Jahrhundert von Bauern, die zur Umgehung fälliger Steuern nur die Genehmigung zum Bau prekärer Häuser hatten, die nicht die Stabilitätsmerkmale gewöhnlicher
      Häuser hatten. Die Trulli wurden direkt auf den Felsen gebaut, ohne Fundamente, mit grob bearbeiteten Steinblöcken, die übereinander gelegt wurden, ohne Zement, und dann mit einer konischen Struktur aus kleinen Platten aus grauem Kalkstein (Chianchiarelle, im lokalen Jargon)
      bedeckt.

      Grotte und Zipfelhäuser

      Eine wunderschöne Grotte haben wir heute besucht. 1,5 Kilometer voller Staunen...
      Anschließend waren wir in Alberobello - die Stadt mit 1400 Trulli-Häusern. Sehr interessant aber auch mega touristisch.Read more

      Bari 2 - Alberobello

      Alberobello - Trulli, Deeply, Madly!
      A wonderful and adventurous day today as Judith and I took on the local bus service to go to UNESCO listed town of Alberobello in the hills about 40 ks away. Going wasn't too bad, with some order in place , but coming home, with about 80 people trying to get in a 50 seat bus was a bun fight, to say the least!
      Nonetheless, it was a delightful day and so glad to have seen these unique houses and the beautiful village - though a lot of it mainly caters to tourists with accommodation, souvenir shops an cafes. Nonetheless there are pockets where people still live in these amazing structures. The bus trip was great too passing through extensive areas where olives, fruit trees and grapes were growing.
      Back in Bari we had aparetivo ( you can probably see the trend by now!) with Derek in the old town. Dinner was near the apartment again at fabulous and modern seafood restaurant. A walk to the edge of old town for the best gelati in Bari ( it was yum!).      Read more

      5. den: Alberobello & Locorotondo

      Dnes po vybornych ranajkach sup do auta smer Alberobello (v preklade “Pekny strom”), mestecko zname kamennymi domcekmi trullo (mn. cislo trulli) s kuzelovitymi strechami (zapisane do zoznamu svetoveho dedicstva UNESCO). Trullo samozrejme suvisi s peniazmi, kedze za kamenne stavby postavene bez malty a cementu sa nemuseli platit plne dane 🤓. Tieto “hobitie” domceky su krasne a tulat sa tu uzkymi ulickami je naozaj zazitok. Zatial co v inych mestach stoja trulli vacsinou izolovane, tu su jeden vedla druheho a vytvaraju uzasnu sceneriu. Zaujimavostou su tiez symboly namalovane bielou farbou na sedych kamennych strechach, ktore maju poskytovat ochranu. Najvacsim trullo je Trullo Sovrano, ale znamych je aj viacero dalsich. Dokonca aj kostol sv. Antonia bol postaveny v style trulli. Ale nie su tu len trulli, stihli sme aj Baziliku sv. Kozmosa a Damiana, fontanu na Piazza del Popolo, pamatnik obetiach 1. a 2. svetovej a dalsie miesta. Vyprahnutych nas zachranila miestna La Bottega del Gelato (ja milk coko+mango, pani M dark coko+mango). Dalsou zastavkou dna je mestecko Locorotondo zname svojou posobivou siluetou na kopci a okruhlym podorysom (odtial aj nazov mestecka). Preslavilo sa tiez skvelym bielym vinom “Locorotondo Antico” a tiez cervenym “Primitivo Tarantino Arpago” - jeden z mojich utajenych dovodov, preco sem zavitat 😂. Ja som dnes navyse dostal chut na dobru pizzu, tak sme v ramci obeda vybavili aj toto zelanie v miestnej pizzerii Casa Pinto (lokalita priamo v centre, krasna vyzdoba, miesto malo super atmosferu) - pani M mala fajn napad, dat si iba jednu a k nej pizza chlieb /tycinky, aby sme sa neprejedli - zvolili sme ich pizzu Casa Pinto (mozzarella a pancetta) a pizza chlieb Santi Medici (mozzarella a paradajky). Zamer nevysiel, pizza chlieb bol rovnako velky ako ta pizza :) Zapili sme talianskym capovanym a posilneni sa vydali na prieskum centra, ktore je samozrejme tiez do kruhu a tvori ho splet uzkych uliciek, domov a dvorov. Nad vsetkym sa vypina kupola kostola sv. Gregora martyra. Potom uz nasledovala cesta do vyhliadnutej vinoteky, no museli sme stvrt hodku cakat na jej otvorenie. Tak sme zatial brouzdali po okoli a kupili keramicky dzbanik (doplnok k dzbanu a 3 tanierikom z Ostuni, o ktorych som vcera zabudol napisat). Z vinoteky sme odisli s kartonom primitivka (biele mi uz u pani M nepreslo, vraj aby som sa s tym nemusel tahat az k autu 🤷‍♂️). Po navrate na izbu jedno pivko na uhasenie smadu, samozrejme ze sa hned potom zatiahlo (hlavne, ze sme sa cely den potili na slnku ako blazni). Tak som sa aspon hodil do mora a pani M skoncila klasicky pri knihach. Dali sme caj a vecer drobnu veceru na nasej teraske s dalsim cajom. No a otvorili sme si dalsie proseccko z Valdobbiadenackych zasob (tentokrat brut z vinarstva Gemin). Cakaju nas dva cele dni bez vyletu, konecne nerusene opalovanie a oddych. Zajtra ma byt vecer zahradna party (druhy majitel ma narodky), tak uvidime, co to bude za akciu :) Dobru noc.Read more
